Höglander scored a goal tonight in the last game of the regular season as Rögle beat Malmö 5-2.
That means he ends with a total 16 points in 41 games (9+7), having missed a total of 11 games due to two suspensions and participating in the WJC. Bit disapponting. He was really hot early in the season and at the World Juniors but has become more invisible and sern limited ice time at the end of the season.
Rögle came in 5th, so there will be play off games eventually, but right now those are postponed and scheduled to start on March 24th instead of March 14th.

Björklöven bounced back in front of empty bleachers in Örnsköldsvik.
Cannata apologized for the two softies he let in last game by posting a shutout and helping the team win 3-0!
Series thus tied 1-1.
Adam Tambellini (Modo) limped off the ice mid third period. Looked like he twisted either his right knee or right ancle.
And some amazing news!
I have worried that playing in front of empty stands would lead to huge financial losses for the teams, but I was wrong.
Björklöven was contacted by fans that wanted to buy tickets even though they know they won’t be allowed to attend the game, so they put up an on line option to buy virtual ”couch tickets” to support the team.
Now, the Arena in Umeå is not that big, it only takes 5400 spectators, but supporters have already bought more than 13,000 tickets for the game on Saturday!
The Björklöven fans were named best supporters this year by the league, and Joe Cannata commented that this proves how well deserved that honour was.

That's some serious fan support! I could see some NCAA teams make that happen. Wonder if they'll try that over here?

[Rumour] Mathias Bromé interested in signing with Canucks
https://hockeynews.se/articles/13560/
Google translation:
Quote
Mathias Bromé broke through well in Hockeyallsvenskan when he delivered 49 points in 51 games and was a big reason behind Mora's advancement to SHL 2017.
After three seasons at the club he left Dalarna as national team and this winter the outside forward made great success in Orebro.
The 25-year-old from Huddinge has produced 43 points (17 + 26) in 51 games ahead of tonight's closing series.
Bromé received the award as the fans MVP in Örebro earlier this week, but the success this winter will also lead to new challenges in his career.
Several of the clubs in Russia are attracted by tenders, and according to information to HockeyNews.se, Avangard Omsk is one of the teams that offered him a concrete contract proposal, but Bromé may be on the verge of rejecting the KHL millions in Russia.
Instead, there is a tug of war between him among several NHL clubs.
Washington, Vancouver and Detroit three of the teams who are all in search of the Swede for the next season and according to information he is now choosing between Vancouver or Detroit.
He will not make a decision until the season is over he has so much interest in him. He has to decide what to do when the season is over, says Jacob Hedin of the AMA Sports Agency.
Vancouver is in the middle of the playoff race right now with five Swedes on the team - Jacob Markström, Elias Pettersson, Loui Eriksson, Alexander Edler and Oscar Fantenberg.
Detroit is in 31st place. Last in the league with over 20 points up to Ottawa above in the table with five Swedes in the team lineup - Jonathan Ericsson, Gustav Lindström, Patrik Nemeth, Christoffer Ehn and Dmytro Timashov.

A late bloomer, who even though he could produce against those his own age never attracted much interest in his teens.
Didn’t make the cut for his province team in TV-pucken as a 15-yo. Never played for the junior national team.
Has shown constant improvement every season over the past six years, and has stated he always chose teams that would give him ice time rather than the best team showing interest in him.
His first full season in Hockeyallsvenskan, 9 points. His second, 27 points. His third 49 points.
His first season in the SHL, 21 points. His second, 35 points. His third, 43 points.
This season he was also voted fan mvp, in a poll among the league’s fans. Not a major trophy, but still.
Sees Peter Forsberg as a role model.

Cool, thanks Per, late bloomer, might be worth a contract to possibly be a top 9 winger.

Ahhh, here is the Brome talk
Per, needs to chill the fuck out, regarding Hoglander. You’re reminding me of Doyle slamming Linds rookie pro season all last season - “Hague! blah, blah, blah! Hague! Blah, blah, blah!” Hoglander is a beaut. So take Rodin love and shove it where the sun don’t shine

Löök, I like Höglander. Love his skills, love his attitude. But he had a great start of the season, a great World Juniors, and then - meh. I don’t know what the problem is. He has seen very limited ice time. Maybe he is in the dog house. Maybe he is nurturing some injury.
I’m not saying he is a bust. Just disappointed in what the second half of his season looked like.
I hope once hockey comes around again he’ll be back to playing like he did at the WJC.

Fucking unbelievable!
Björklöven has been wandering in the desert for twenty years since they last played in the SHL.
This season they have had a phenomenal team and dominated throughout.
Out of 52 regular season games they won 41; 36 in regulation, three in ot and two in the shootout.
They only lost eight games in regulation time, two in ot and one in a shootout.
They beat the old all time points record with twelve freaking points.
At the same time, Oskarshamn, finishing last in the SHL has been one of the crappier teams to play there.
Beating them in a best out of seven looked like a walk in the park.
So what happens? Freaking Corona virus happens.
The Swedish Hockey Federation has announced that there will be no more hockey this season. No champions will be named, and no teams will be demoted or promoted between leagues!
This is a death sentence.
The way this team has performed, there’s no way they can keep it together for another season.
The SHL teams will be ripping it apart like vultures.
They have roughly five times the budget of a Hockeyallsvenskan team, and of course a lot of players are going to be lured by a fatter pay check and the chance to play in a better league.
The thing is - we were going to move the entire team to the next level!
Now that that won’t happen, a lot of players are going to do that on their own instead.
Björklöven management will just have to try to build a new team as good as this one, and that will be hard.
Really hard.
This is a day that will live in infamy.

I hope you meant a bottom 9. .. or 6
He ain't displacing Brock, Pete, Toffoli or JT.
