Daxon Rudolph - 4th overall. I have a neighbour who used to be a scout for the Canes and he was really high on Rudolph, so the scouts obviously see something in him. Good pick.

I really wouldn't have minded being wrong about this.

But maybe I'll be wrong when it's more important, and Malhotra turns out to really be the best player left in the draft at #3 OA.

Looking around at what other teams are doing to supercharge their rebuilds, my hopes that the Canucks can be competitive again quickly are fading. Now I have to hope that the Little Eagles have the nerve (stomach ?) to stay the course as long as necessary.
