I don't know about everyone else, but I find having Mr Aquilini back in action in the war room, working with inexperienced alumni again, really makes for an enhanced internetting experience. I think it's going to be a fun draft this year.

The failures ar definitely going to be like going back to your hometown after years away and getting drunk in the same playground you got drunk in 40+ years earlier

2. Francesco Aquilini and former Canucks general manager Dave Nonis probably don’t exchange Christmas cards.
A well-placed Canucks source, however, claims Nonis was fired because Aquilini found him to be “the most disloyal guy you’ll ever meet in your life. He didn’t care about winning, he didn’t care about success in the organization, he only cared about survival, self-preservation.” What Aquilini wanted “and what Nonis did, were two different things,” says the source.
Nonis, of course, has moved on. In December, he was named senior vice-president and director of hockey operations for the Toronto Maple leaves. According to a leaves executive, Nonis hit the roof when he heard about the “disloyalty” comments now coming from Vancouver. “[Nonis] did things to save Aquilini’s ass,” he says. The Canucks owner “was impulsive, unrealistic. He would have traded away the farm. He didn’t want to sign players to more than one-year deals. He was always ranting. Then he’d be apologetic.”

As for back to the Rucks, if at 24 Liam is available and Canucks have them there as BPA and do wind up making the selection, the next 8 teams could be salivating to see what they can squeeze out of them to move up for the bro. At the same time, we should treat that same scenario as an advantage should someone else pick him several spots before 24.

Some savvy GM will have Mr Aquilini between a Ruck, and a hard place.
