Re: 2024 NHL Draft
What more do you need than that? A panic move could be exactly that, really wanting to someone and putting themselves in position to get them instead of waiting until it’s too late, some other team scoops in ahead of them. Also how do we know it wasn’t Buffalo who initiated the deal? Trading back in the draft is a common desire of teams to get the extra pick later in the draft

Fuck if I know, I ain’t no scout, Shoulders. I’m more interested in seeing how the lottery portion of the draft goes down

Is BC the hot bed of developing hockey players now?

Although my Flames didn't get Tij, they did very well at this draft, especially considering the players they got in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. They got a great offencive minded D man with they 9th OA pick - they have really built up a good stable of young D men. Looks like the tank is full on. I can't wait until the next 2 drafts when the Flames will be drafting top 5 OA.

Re: 2024 NHL Draft
Gotta believe the Flames are eyeing Hagens or Martone in 2025 and McKenna in 2026. A tidy quick two year full tank rebuild. McKenna has to be the goal, fuck the kid was magical at the recent under 18’s. Him and Martone had some very good chemistry going. Hagen’s ain’t no slouch eitherBCExpat wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2024 9:28 am Although my Flames didn't get Tij, they did very well at this draft, especially considering the players they got in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. Yeah, the future looks good, but I don't think I can stand to watch them for the next few yearsChef Boi RD wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2024 10:17 amGotta believe the Flames are eyeing Hagens or Martone in 2025 and McKenna in 2026. Re: 2024 NHL Draft
San Jose just landed Will Smith and Celebrini in two back to back drafts. I see a similar outcome for the Flames over the next two drafts as they are definitely one of the teams in stiff competition for the 1st overall pick or around there. The 2025 class is a deep class btw.BCExpat wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2024 10:24 amYeah, the future looks good, but I don't think I can stand to watch them for the next few yearsChef Boi RD wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2024 10:17 amGotta believe the Flames are eyeing Hagens or Martone in 2025 and McKenna in 2026. Re: 2024 NHL Draft
Cayden Lidstrom has yet to play a game this year. Gotta wonder if the CBJ’s are regretting selecting him with the 4th overall pick, herniated disc and all.
