Nah, we'll always have the 4 Nations win to savour until the Olympics. I'm openly cheering for Dallas - almost half the team is Canadian anyway. I was okay with Winnipeg winning the Cup because it's hard to hate on Winnipeg - they have it hard enough as it is being Winnipeg. Otherwise, if it won't be Vancouver, I don't want any other Canadian city getting the prestige of being the first Canadian club to bring it back.

But what’s worse is, not wearing team Canada’s jersey at the 4-Nations cup puck drop and fist pumping the American players while walking out on the ice was grounds for removing his citizenship. If there was a time for Gretzky to show his colours it was them, but no.

To be fair, Trudeau was our PM at the time, and all things being equal, any sane Canadian would be happy to jump ship when the country they are proud to have been born in went ahead and elected that ass hat for a 3rd term.....the insanity of this nation was signed and sealed when they put many of the same officials back in power last month. They'll probably sell it by framing it as replacing expensive 'No-Show' Marner, with a relatively cheaper 'clutch-scorer' in Boeser.
That said, I think they'll go hard after Bennett if Florida lets him walk. He screams the type of player fans have been clamouring for since forever. Hell, they may go after both.
Toronto's will piss money looking for a heart. Watch them blow it all on 'heart & Soul' 'Playoff Warrior' types while continuing to cheap out in net.
The fact they think they can win with the likes of Stollarz is almost as laughable as Edmonton thinking they can win it all with Skinner.
