However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

Truth is officially subjective in our world folks.....perception of reception are the determining factors now, intent is irrelevant, it is now OK to be offended by absolutely anything, and respond to it any which way you want because you can now justifiably go to extremes, and even participate in criminal behavior. Why? Because you were personally offended.

If Donald Trump stood up and told the world that 2+2=4, Per and all his buddies would immediately cry foul and say they didn't believe him and that the truth was probably closer to -73.

It's not actually about truth anymore, it's about which side you want to see win.

Let's face it, in the current political climate anyone with a foot in the leftist's side of the pool would tar and feather Abraham Lincoln as a racist and bigot because he dared to exploit his white privilege to become president.

Yeah, you conveniently forget I don’t believe anything Maduro or others on the extreme left say either. :drink:
I definitely don’t believe anything Putin says, but it’s hard to pinpoint; is he left or right?
He’s a nationalist and authoritarian, which might make you think right, but he also seems to admire Stalin...
Either way, he is definitely not centrist, liberal/libertarian or pro-democracy.

Anyway, there is not very much extreme left in US politics. Even people like Bernie Sanders or AOC would be considered fairly moderate from a European perspective. I certainly oppose their wishes to restrict free trade though. That’s a dangerous left wing position that actually is embraced by Donald too. Just another proof that Donald is not a true conservative, which I could respect, but just a right wing populist who is dangerous for not just the USA but the entire global economy.

It’s no coincidence that no world leader wants to be seen with him any longer. He has recently been snubbed by Merkel, Trudeau and now even Kim Jong Un. I mean, when Kim Jong Un thinks he doesn’t want to be seen with you - that’s bad. :lol:

As for Merkel, yeah, there’s a conservative that I respect and think highly of. :thumbs:
