I'm with Mëds
[AND MCP] on this one - as tempting as it would be get another first (and whatever) - I think Hronek has more value here, giving some stability to the blue line. As long as he
wants to be here, that's fine.
gee.. thanks.. Nice to know my opinon dont matter to the almighty Cornster!

I've edited my post for proper attribution. An oversight not seeing your post.

Sign me up to the sign Gudas bandwagon, assuming it is a a reasonable FA contract signing.
It will not be a reasonable contract.
No UFA signing here will be reasonable for the next few years. They will all be 1-2million too much, and 1-2 years too long.
When you suck and in a rebuild, nobody wants to play there... Remember Chicago and SanJ before they got a star?
Gudas is 35, no team will offer him more than 3 years. 3 years is not too long for this team right now. Overpaying him by $1M or less is part of the price of rebuilding. His current deal pays him $4M, wherever he lands next will be for less. I would happily pay him $3M x 3 if it meant not paying Meaty $5.5M x 5 (remaining).
The only hiccup in this plan is that Gudas is a RHD, that could create a logjam on the right side depending upon who the Canucks draft.
Even if The Canucks draft a RHD that pick won't be ready for a few years. But if we sign Gudas that would give us Hronek, Gudas, Willander and Mancini on the R side. I also agree we should not be trading Horenk. Someone has tube the adult back there.

Canucks would have to win out now to not finish last, no margin for error.

Speaking of Rags win..... Markstrom and Shesterkin threw down in an old school tilt. Igor definitely gets the decision.

Canucks one point away from glory!
If they win every game left and the Hawks lose all their remaining games in regulation they’ll be tied at 68 pts and the Canucks will have a couple more wins to take the tie breaker.
Otherwise the Canucks have a wonderful dirge parade down Robson!
