They may yet have to employ the nuclear option. The negative fan culture, which is much bigger than that board and goes back as far as I can remember, has found a host there and it's firmly embedded. They were, in fairness, trying to do something about it this season but I'm afraid half measures won't work. The earth must be scorched or things will continue on as they are.
