Team Elf or Team Midget ?
Are Benning draft picks - Boeser, Virtanen, Brisebios, Juolevi, Tryamkin, Gaudette midgets?

You must be thinking of the Gillis midget picks - Shrunkcarrot, Subban, Cassels, Schroeder, Stumpy Hodgson and Rodin and soft as butter - Gaunce and Jensen

Great asset manoeuvre - rail thin McCann (who's size Blobbee Roids moaned about constantly) for angry 24 year old behemoth - Garrison. Brilliant trade!

Team Smurf. The leaves will probably draft Yamamoto in the first round. LOL
Rielly and Gardiner were studs in the playoffs. Easily better than anyone on Washington.

And LOL at "Slammed". 5 out of 6 games were decided by overtime. The one that was not was a 1 goal game. Everyone had the leaves out in a sweep. They were facing the best team in the NHL.

The leaves picks in 2016 were all very big guys. The idea you build with size is very outdated. Even in 2015 it was "LOL The leaves Picked Schrimp Marner. They could have had Strome!").

You build with talent, not size. The leaves picked Nylander/Marner/Matthews all in the first round the past 3 years. no team has done better. You guys made a big error passing over Nylander. He is elite.

Tryamkin is in Russia, Virtanen is in the AHL.
Brisebois is a twig 6ft 3 190. Ollie is 6ft 3 175. Boeser is 6ft 1 190 and Gaudette is 6ft 180. Just beasts

Sutter, Eriksson and and Baertschi and Granlund ( don't mind the latter two) are all 180 or lighter.

As I said you call the leaves small and soft and they intimidated the fuck out of Vancouver on HNIC. Kinda ironic no?

You need both. Vancouver has neither

Accommodating Roberto the Sicilian Greaseball in a Denali" Macenzzi " you need both" - Goldy, Dahlen, Stecher, Granlund, Baertschi, Lockwood are all very good "on the small side players", however wouldn't necessarily call any of them Maple Smurf small.

We own Tryamkins rights until after the 2022-23 season. He's still our asset. Do you honestly think a D-man that good will stay in the K that long? When he sees the success of the Benning/Linden plan unfolding while playing in shit arenas he will be back.

The book isn't written on Jake yet.

The book is written that Nylander is better and he should have been taken.

Girl face - Nylander will be traded to fix that horrid defence. Babcock hates Nylander and is nagging Lou to get him a proper defence, NOW! Babcock is sick and tired of being the leagues worst in Shots Against.

Team Smurfs farm team coach on The Smurfs best defence prospects - "they are yeeeeeeaaaaarrrrsss away!"

No. Nylander is going nowhere. the leaves strength is having the deepest forwards in the NHL. They won't change that. Babcock has said nothing to say he dislikes Nylander. He gave him more ice-time in fact as the season went on and praised him a lot.
The division is the leaves to lose starting next season.

A repeat first round ass canning if they don't bring any ounce of respectability to the defence core, goaltending and overall team defence

You can't win with a team full of smurfs, no goaltending and no defence

Thanks for the laugh. We have Andersen for the next 4 years. He was a top 10 goalie this season.

Connor Brown is 23 years old.

Every team has players in that age group scoring at that pace.

(hell, Canucks have 2 in Baer + Granlund and no one around here bats an eye)

(Horvat too of course but eyes are batted because of his overall awesomeness)

All you have is the 3 young forwards and who knows how they will do next year.

And 3 players does not a team make... honey! (with apologies to the Fonz)

Yours is a run-n-gun team so a little shit like Brown can pot 20 easily

... and now your team can overpay him thanks to that run-n-gun style.

The Cock and the Lamb have stated they need to get away from all that run-n-gun moving forward btw.
BigTuna wrote: But TSN is brainwashing me, right?
UMMM... you have to have a brain before you can be brainwashed.

I never said it is the media who is controlling you.

Good night sir! :scowl:
The leaves had the best offensive depth in the entire NHL.
Leaves depth was never put to the test

... because the Leaves were the only team not to have a significant injury in their Top-9.
BigTuna wrote: They had the most 60 point and 50 point players of any team. They had a 60 point player on all of their top 3 lines.
Run-n-gun style leads to more goals for and more goals against... they gave up the 9th most goals!

Not ever gonna win anything with that run-n-gun.

Score alotta goals for losers to get excited about? Sure.

And lack of injuries helped boost those offensive numbers of course...
BigTuna wrote: Every team has 23 year olds scoring 20 goals, but do they have 3 elite forwards at 19 and 20 scoring 60+ points as rookies? No, 0 teams have that besides the leaves.
UMMM so you agree with me 100%... Connor Brown is nothing to get excited about.

You're welcome.
BigTuna wrote: You just don't know what it takes to build a team in 2017. You still think teams are built from the net out? LOL.
Great teams are built from the net out

... and for the hundredth time, that mostly means dee (since there are 6 playing any given night).

Leaves dee sucks severely, you have refused to acknowledge that all year

... although i finally got you to admit they have "weaknesses".

Of course you won't talk about what those weaknesses are...
BigTuna wrote: The top goalies have 0 cup rings.
BigTuna wrote: And just to clarify, Brown's 21 goals would have been tops on the Canucks. That's more goals than your star centre, Bo Horvat (Who you've claimed is just as good as Matthews). So no, you don't have guys like Brown.
What... dafock... are you injecting?

Brown did not have "21 goals" and he did not score "more goals than Horvat"

... and I've never said "Horvat is just as good as Matthews"! Image

"no, you don't have guys like Brown" - UMMM I just showed you 2 in Baer/Granlund

... and you just admitted "Every team has 23 year olds scoring 20 goals". Image

Are all Leafers as whacked-out as you are?
BigTuna wrote: And the leaves are not a "Run N Gun" team at all. Check the numbers.
Top-4 in both shots-for and shots-against = very definition of run-n-gun.
