Tuna's probably still out celebrating, the Leaves getting eliminated in the first round is still probably the greatest moment in his life as a leaves fan.

It's funny, I recall things differently. People looked at the Avs advanced stats and said it was not sustainable and they would drop off. The leaves have good underlying numbers.

Please see ESPN's thoughts on the leaves future:

You've been telling us for 12 years about how your Leaves are oh so close to greatness!

You're the little boy who cried WOLF!

Leaves kiddies won't fly under the radar next year (some call it "the sophomore jinx").

And they'll go from zero pressure to maximum pressure (fucking Leaf fans!)

Also they won't have all that injury luck next year (injuries kill team fancy stats btw).

Leaves will miss the playoffs, book it.

Your team gave up a 1st + 2nd for mediocre concussion-prone Andersen

(could've kept Reimer/Bernier for free)

Your team gave up a 2nd for 27 games of Boyle.

Most of those extra picks last year were wasted on overagers who aren't working out.

The Shanaplan went out the window and soon you Leafers will be screaming for Lou's head.

The team you claimed has a better future in the Buffalo Sabres gave up a 3rd rounder for the rights to Jimmy Vesey so he could sign with the Rangers.

Best young team in the NHL. Everyone knows it.

Well that's the hype they're feeding you right?

Seems like yesterday you were promising Kessel, Phaneuf, et al were going to win a Cup.

Keep on keeping on dreaming dreams and slurping that blue koolaid....

Other then Sundin you can argue because he's 35, all the others are in their primes or early 20's. They're not relying on 40 year olds like Roberts Neuwendyk, Belfour anymore.

I cannot stand Toronto, Laughs and Jays.

I love it when the teams lose.

I love the fact that TSN is losing all the hockey rights, they do not give a rats ass about any other city in the country except for the CFL.

You go onto that site and if a Laughs player has a pimple it is front page news.

I really hope the Laughs take a step back next year and not make the playoffs, not going to happen I know but damn that would be satisfying.
