The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

It's nice to see that several American companies have decided to let their employees have Midsummer Eve off! 8-)

This is a really important holiday in Scandinavia, or well, actually in large parts of the world. But most countries celebrate a fixed date on the 23rd, 24th or 25th of June. In Scandinavia we always celebrate on a Friday, defined as the Friday that falls within 19-25 of June. This year it's the 19th.

I'm sure all Scandinavians - and those of Scandinavian ancestry - living in the USA really appreciate this! :)
