Hage has been Canada’s best player this tourney.
He's also getting 20 minutes a night. He handled the puck like a grenade the first half of the game.
He’s getting 20 mins for a reason.
The whole team handles the puck like a grenade. Seems to be infectious.
I’d say McKenna handles it like a grenade but he barely holds on to it long enough to handle it.

Basil Sanssonens just tied the game at 1 -1 between the Swiss and the Anericans. Dude your thoughts?
Basil just sniped it top corner.
Thank you Patrick
Cool.

We're all about the Cootes, the Bjork, and the Sansonnens.

Mckenna should have had another two assists tonight. Its like some folks didn't see all the dead red chances Canada just missed. Trying to be too fancy. Dismantle the top line. Give Reschny a push up. Desnoyers is struggling. Give Bear a look. Put the lines in a blender. I feel bad for Greentree. Martone, Misa and Tij all want the puck.
People shitting on Cootes are out to lunch. Look at all the guys he beat out to get on the 4th line. Next year he's in that middle six.
Give Verhoeff a look. Park a lefty and run with 4 RH. But if you yank Reid who holds Parekh's hand? He's bad in his end. Maybe Carels. I like that kid a lot.
Whoe Canada.....Macklin, Sennecke, Kindel, Schaefer, Dickinson.... I know I'm missing a couple more.
Kudos to Latvia playing their game. Swiss are doing that now.

Yet somehow McKenna is among the top scorers in the tournament with 4 pts.
3 of those assists were quick lasers onto the tape into high-chance areas where they were hammered home. The goalies didn't have much of a chance.
Maybe that's his game for now. Maybe he's not a Patrick Kane or a Kyle Connor the way he plays. Maybe his game grows in the NHL with actual vets and coaches who knows the game better than junior and uni players/coaches.
Was Adam Oates or even Gretzky's game nothing special because all they did was put the puck on a teammates stick and into the net without much fanfare? How about Hank Sedin?
People were saying Bedard just had that shot. Weren't you slagging this kid too? Now McKenna does nothing... except collect exceptional 1st assists.
Give him time. I doubt he's Shane Wright.

Those lesbian scenes with her and Janeway were the best.

Id take Alberts Smits high too. What a compete level. Reminds me of Mattias Ohlund. Carson Careos. Bith ofcthese guys will be be cornerstones. Ahd we've yet to see Verhoeff andI'm a fan of him. Lin in Vancouver, Rudolph. This is a draft rich with D in the top 12. BPA. But I'd like Gavin in Van.

Getting McKenna, and winning a cup would best case for me, bringing the trophy home for his celebration.
Dream a little dream...

Chef would rather take the flyer on the centre - Lawrence. 2nd choice Stenberg, 3rd choice McKenna the assist king.

You said Lawrence was short with razor thin legs. Just a tiny guy.

He ain’t big but he’s a very dynamic centre, and I’ll take that. Bedard and Celebrini are both centres, they ain’t monsters either. Skill, speed and tenacity trumps all which is why I like centremam Bjorck.
Listen, I have no problem taking any of those three, one isn’t overly separating themselves from the rest. You can never have enough centres. Cootes, is good but not seeing him as a first line centre, he’s a hard worker, energy player. But we need elite skill, we need centres. Raty has his limitations, he’s bottom six if he can ever sort out his Brenden Gaunce style skating.
It’s a toss up between Stenberg and McKenna, for wingers. McKenna is a great passer, not necessarily a play driver like Stenberg who likes to carry the puck, McKenna looks to get rid of it as quickly as he gets it but when he does it’s a beauty, he projects to be a Mitch Marner type winger.
When it comes to picking between Lawrence, Stenberg and McKenna you go with positional need because none are really separating themselves from the other to go BPA. Or so it seems, kind of relying on the reports when it comes to Lawrence because I have yet to see the kid play.
Have you watched, Chase Reid? He’s definitely put himself in the conversation, but do we need a defenceman? Not as bad as we need “high end” skilled forwards. The top 5 seems to be boiling down to Lawrence, Stenberg, McKenna, Reid, Verhoeff. It’s a strong defence in this class. Very thin on centres. After Lawrence it’s pretty much Bjorck and Malhotra. They’ll be lucky to go top 10. Could be all defenders from 5th to 10th with winger Belchetz thrown in there, but I could see Malhotra and Bjorck sneaking in the top 10.

In some ways I don’t envy the Canucks if they end up with the 1 OA, as there doesn’t appear to be a clear cut favourite.
