I didn't say I was confident.
I said he fits in their lineup.
She is a model/socialite/entrepreneur who has lived in LA historically (moved there with her parents) and the vibe fits her professions.
She and he have spent a good deal of time there.
...so that's the whip cream on the pie.
Also...
My guess (pure speculation) is that Seattle is being regarded as a bit of a shit hole by NHL players currently.
Yes, Pettersson fits LA pretty well.
But I want to see him on the Rangers....

That would explain star players allegedly taking cheaper deals than sign with Seattle.
It is to wonder what the grapevine is saying about their organization.

Rangers firing on all cylinders to start the season.
Our luck that happens and they win a Cup.

Which would pretty much mean you would be taking over Senior Mod duties here.

They can do whatever they want, as long as they are a lottery team in 2030 and 2031.

Newsflash....it's on the record.
CC poster Tciso hoping for Rangers to win Cup.
Head Mod extremely displeased.

Decorum?
“Bosh!” I say.
That said, hoping for anything other than misery and anguish to the Rangers and their fan base is a tad beyond the pale, eh wot!!

Pipe dream, or the perfect trade?
Rossi and Cotter (re-signed) for Edvinsson (re-signed).

Every team has a different path to walk on the way to becoming a lottery team. We did it with locker room issues, and imo, weak character from our GMs and coaches. If the Rangers do it by winning, and then collapsing, or by a leaked locker room recording of strange team bonding rituals involving a donkey, I don't care. But, the donkey thing will make a better story.
That is my position. Burn me down, and I will just rise from the ashes. Not like a phoenix, but more like a trick birthday candle that refuses to be blown out.

I would do:
F Petey (no salary retained), Cotter for Edvinsson and protected first.
Add, a d prospect, high mid pick accordingly.
Of course F Petey probably wouldn’t wave to go there.

As an aside, I was looking at the Hurricanes roster on puckpedia, man are they in good shape moving forward. Lots of draft capital and cap space, they really should make a love for Edvinsson, they are 4 d man off contract after this season all over 30.
