Interesting view point from Blueger.
Just reinforces my point on why he should be targeted in the off season. Work ethic, tenacity, leadership and experience to help guide the next generation. He’s solid on the draw and reliable on the PK. Any offence he supplies is a bonus.
Character.
Then extend him. Don't risk losing him in FA if you feel he is a vet that you want on the rebuild.

I think Ohgren is showing a good deal of character for a young player new to the team.

obviously too tough for Vancouver
Good point. JR and Allvin will steer clear of that. The fact that the kid is Canadian seals the deal.
Taking the Swede is a slam dunk if they win the lottery.

If you can get a 3rd for him, then do it.
If he has a desire to stay, re-sign him in the off season.

Blueger leads all Canucks with four goals and seven points in eight games since returning to the lineup on Jan. 21.
With Pettersson, Kane, and DeBrusk on the ice, the Canucks have been
caved in at even-strength since Blueger’s return.
Here’s how badly the Canucks have been out-attempted with those three players on the ice during the last eight games.
- DeBrusk: 69 shot attempts for, 112 shot attempts against (38.1 per cent)
- Kane: 81 shot attempts for, 141 shot attempts against (36.4 per cent)
- Pettersson: 70 shot attempts for, 131 shot attempts against (34.8 per cent)
All three players
rank last on the Canucks in terms of guys who have played every game since Jan. 21.

Can somebody check if These Fucking Guys are still napping and wake them up to do some work during the break?

Yeah...I keep harping on Ohgren but he, Bleuger and Garls have easily been the teams top line for several games.
Evander Kane should look at Corey Perry then look in the mirror.
Dude should be ashamed of himself.
Where is the pride and commitment?
Go find Bill LaForge.

I had tempered expectations of Kane last fall. You look at how Euro heavy the lineup was, the lack of Cdn talent and it was hard not to root for a local kid who was once a formidable power forward.
End of the day, his time here has been a complete disappointment and I won’t be the least bit surprised if he isn’t dealt next month, for lack of interest.
DeBrusk should be moved this summer, if not sooner.
I don’t believe the rebuild truly begins until Pettersson is exiled. The failure of this forgettable era begins and ends with that PoS.

Agree and hallelujah.
A complete disappointment as a local pro athlete.
Could combat Eriksson and Luongo as potentially the worst locally signed contract in team history.
At least we got something out of Luongo.
EP40's claim to fame is cock teasing.

I realize mgmt has to get the best possible package available for him, but I think we’ll find out fairly quickly that his banishment alone will improve the teams morale and upward trajectory
Can’t happen soon enough.

We were talking about Bluegers questioning the character of some of the players. I guess we can figure out who starts packing it in when the going gets tough.
