After Cholla rudely derailed another thread,maybe some folks can offer an opinion of what to do on the back end. I’m probably not bringing back Tanev because of cost, age and durability. They have three old guys on the D now. He’s a good player and currently the 2nd best D on the team but his health is a wildcard and he isn’t getting any younger.

I’d let Stecher walk unless he signs a deal for like say...1.5. Otherwise he can beat it. I let Fantenberg walk.

Sign the Russian if he wants to come back. Go sign a cheaper UFA to replace Tanev. He might not be quite as good but he may be able to give you 17-18 min of good hockey.
