The Canucks expressing he isn’t on the market is essentially because the market is telling the Canucks there isn’t one for Garland.

Yeah...6 year 6 mill with a full nmc starting next year for a hot and cold 50 point player.

Be tough to get much more than a first if that I'd say.

Anaheim is either going to have some top level GMing with contracts (as a Canuck fan, I don't know what that looks like), or they are expected to be about $10 mil over the cap.

MMac ($7mil) for Raty, Mancini and 2 2nds solves their problem, and fills another hole for us.

Personally, I’d stick with Mancini. He isn’t fully developed yet, but I like his potential and his long term positional value. He’ll be worth a lot more in a couple years.

With Mancini just signing a 2 year extension I think he is a keeper for now. A cheap 2 year contract. I like his play. He is still learning and next year he will get the whole season in Vancouver. I would be reluctant to trade him right now.

It's gonna take more than that. You'd need to add that late 1st minimum

If that's all it takes, then I'll throw Mancini and his mother in the deal. Honestly, with this roster no one should be truly safe from any trade consideration. If throwing Mancini into the deal lands Vancouver MacTavish then do it already.

Anaheim have got $40m in cap space heading into 2026-27 and even if they ink Gauthier and Carlsson to $12.5m AAV deals that's $15m left to add a couple of veteran defensemen to their corps of Jackson Lacombe plus a bunch of other kids (Mintyukov, Hinds, Zellweger etc).

If anything I'd think they'd be interested in a nice cost-controlled veteran defenseman rather than unloading McTavish for a bunch of dross. Even if that was the best move it'd be a hell of a blemish on Verbeek's resume to take the 2021 3rd overall pick, attach a $40m+ contract to the player you select and dump him for (basically) nothing by 2026.
