Bracco is not dynamic enough of s shrimp to last in the bigs, Kapanen is not NHL material, unfortunately for the leaves the Wild have the right Greenway. Oh and what did the leaves farm team coach say about those D Prodoects? "Years away"! Gold Jerry, GOLD!

TSN is all over the Trade Nylander rumours. Ya knew that Babcock and the arrogant 100 ft game of - Nylander was never going to work out

leaves gave up the lead and lose in the shootout again.

Senators great comeback.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

Could be considered some what demoralizing.
To a team that has been overachieving, maybe just a wee bit.

I see a lot of players passing up golden opportunities to finish hits on weenies Marner + Nylander.

(afraid said weenies will die... and they'll be suspended forever?)

That will likely change down the stretch as the game becomes more physical.

The leaves are not going to win the Cup this year but they sure are looking improved. If van cannot bring the Cup home to Canada than let Toronto or Montreal etc, do it. I know I will be cheering for it. Matthews IS the stud center we needed. Their D is weak but they are getting there.

You guys would be delighted with Connor Brown as your top rookie. He is playing very good and is on pace for 20+ goals. On the leaves, he's the 4th highest scoring rookie and 5th best overall.
There's no organization right now with as bright a future as the leaves.

What aging UFA will your ownership demand the GM sign in July to try to fool Canuck fans into thinking the team is a contender?
I agree your leaves are better but look up the word 'hubris'

To be fair, the Laffs had literally nowhere to go but up.

I think they're the most pathetic franchise in NHL history. Had it not been for the lockout-shortened season cutting short their trademark Collapse, they'd have the playoffs drought record on lockdown.

I don't watch the Leaves so I don't know, but maybe they are able to elude hits or at least not take damage. They have always been slim guys, presumably they have encountered physical play before. Cliff Ronning had a long career, thanks to good line combos (Sandlak and Momesso were moving shields for him), quickness, and lacrosse training.

We could use a supertalented weenie. I wouldn't mind having that Johnny Hockey on the Canucks.

Ronning was short but he was built like a brick shit-house. Solid, muscular.

Johnny Hockey is 156 pounds, maybe.

But then again, he is so small, maybe he won't be targeted too much for fear of league punishment.

But then again, again, if he gets into any playoff hockey, he'll get crushed me thinks.

This is pure dribble and I am in complete disagreement.

If every other team in Canada never wins a Stanley Cup it'll be too soon.

Nope, Montreal has way too many already and Ottawa hasn't been around long enough.

Both valid points - I must be softening up in my old age... I still remember being pissed that those bastard expansion Flyers won a Cup.

Well I do watch the Leaves... and trust me, there are "players passing up golden opportunities".

I've seen the same thing with Johnny_Hockey on many occasions.

It's the new Watch. Out. For. Suspensions. N.H.L.

For example in the game last night Johnny plays it up

... after the cleanest hit ever...

and Komarov was visibly worried. (later said 'sorry' and asked if he was alright)

It's a twisted National Hockey League World these days.
