Don't assume it'll cost a Taylor Hall to get a #4 D. That trade did not change anything. Chia is a moron.RoyalDude wrote:I keep seeing headlines over at TSN how the Leaf mgmt are desperate to fix their anemic D - core. Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread
The Flames gave up a 15th overall pick in a deep draft plus two second round picks, a 45th and a 52nd, cause as you know, there is a premium on acquiring top 4 D-men, which is nowhere near the premium on acquiring top pairing D-men. Are you willing to give up an arm and a leg to save that awful D situation you have their in TeeOH, Tuna?BigTuna wrote:Don't assume it'll cost a Taylor Hall to get a #4 D. The Oilers gave up the 16th overall pick and the 33rd overall pick in the same deep draft for that BUM - Reinhart. The Islanders selected premier prospect - Barzal with the the 16th and used the 33rd to trade up to draft Beauvellier who is looking pretty damn good with the Isle right about now. So now that you are educated on the costs of acquiring quality D-men, are you willing to make bold moves to fix that mess?
Do I need to tell you what we gave up for Gudbranson?
We are not talking top pairing D-men Jabrone!

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread
You're using 2 Oiler examples. Reinhart was a horrendous trade. Do you think the avg NHL GM gives up that for a D-Man with skating issues?RoyalDude wrote:The Flames gave up a 15th overall pick in a deep draft plus two second round picks, a 45th and a 52nd, cause as you know, there is a premium on acquiring top 4 D-men, which is nowhere near the premium on acquiring top pairing D-men. The leaves are STACKED in their farm system. They can offer a better package than anyone.
AND BTW, you clearly view the leaves as having one of, or maybe the worst NHL defence. Have you seen the #'s? They aren't bad at all. They are in a playoff spot!
Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread
The Laughs sucked for so long they should have some good prospects.

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread
If I were the leaves I'd table an offer of Nylander, the leaves 2017 1st round draft pick and their best prospect, whoever the fuck that is, for Jacob Trouba. WIN! leaves may have to sweeten the pot, but it's a starting point

Lmao, yeahno not stacked.BigTuna wrote: The leaves are STACKED in their farm system. They can offer a better package than anyone.
At all.
The only possible package-piece from the farm... Kapanen... is done for the season (possibly forever).
Speaking of shredded knees... down goes Morgan!
(saaay isn't that the same knee that forced him to miss almost his entire draft year)
Does this mean the Cock will finally be forced to play Frankie?
Some depth!

Never heard of Jeremy Bracco, Greenaway, Brooks, Neilson, Dermot etc? Kapanen is their only good prospect?Strangelove wrote:Lmao, yeahno not stacked.BigTuna wrote: The leaves are STACKED in their farm system. They can offer a better package than anyone.

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread
Leaves finally suffer an injury to one of their "top 4" and get blown out by the Rags.
Nice "depth" there Tuna!
Hopefully Rielly comes back soon because I don't want them to meltdown til after the deadline...

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread
LMAO at Tunas list of Leaf prospects. How's that saying go? A face only a mother could love. Remove those rose coloured glasses, Tuna. So typical of a leaf fan. Bracco is not dynamic enough of s shrimp to last in the bigs, Kapanen is not NHL material, unfortunately for the leaves the Wild have the right Greenway. Oh and what did the leaves farm team coach say about those D Prodoects? "Years away"! Gold Jerry, GOLD!
TSN is all over the Trade Nylander rumours. Ya knew that Babcock and the arrogant 100 ft game of - Nylander was never going to work out
