Didn't know that the Torries had asked Carney to extend his term as Governor of The Bank of England twice...

Collude: : to work together secretly especially in order to do something illegal or dishonest : conspire, plot.
Yup. Great idea that comes naturally to Liberals.
You make kicking Trump in the groin sound like a bad thing :
Hell no. Collusion is wrong. Kicking Trump in the balls is only wrong if I can't watch it on Twitter. I think it would be funny as shit.

That post Corn linked the other day about how Carney had gathered the largest holders of US Treasury bonds to collude to start a slow sell off ...man that was brilliant.
Do you know anything about the source? He seems to have blocked some of the Canadian accounts I follow on X. I just stumbled across a thread about this this morning.
The source offers no sources.
File that article in the fiction section...
Lots of smoke from different outlets on that one. Considering the reaction from DT and his wavering on most of these resolutions, I have to think it's more than fiction

We know that bond rates spiking wasn't fiction, but there's no way to tell who was doing the selling.

Eventually we will see it in this chart:
https://ticdata.treasury.gov/resource-c ... able5.html
... but there is some lag time before it is updated.
Pretty sure the debt held by the Cayman Islands isn't really held by the Cayman Islands though...
And who knows about Luxembourg?
Looks like Canada sold off (or didn't renew) some US debt in January already.

I'm curious if Wiebo is ok. I can see him putting his grey Lieutenant costume on while he rides his white horse.

Who is Wiebo on these boards?
Anyway, I think I have had enough of arguing on social media, regarding political views. I'm not going to change anyone's mind and no one on social media is going to change my mind. Also, it's been a long time since I cared about hockey, so with that, I bid you all "adios amigos". I'm taking a long break from posting.

Yeah Expat is a good dude.
Having him walk like this is unfortunate.

True story Donny.
However, in all fairness, I don’t think he’s walking because of any particular personalities here. (Not that I’m inferring that you were implying that).
The places where you can have any sort of discourse regarding politics, that sees people change their point of view or affiliation, are few and far between. It’s just the nature of the beast.
I always liked reading his takes on issues though. BCE was a quality reprobate.
I feel obligated to point out that there’s been another quality contributor here who has taken extended leaves of absence from this hockey talk message board…..yet he returns time and again. I always forget his name though…..

I'll disagree but leave it at that.

That dude is special though.
