Taking that hellacious uppercut from Guddy on the chin is a good indicator of the kind of stuff Hamonic is made of. We all like this kind of throwback that's still willing to eat just about anything to the face to help his team win but Cool Hand Jim can't allow himself to get all sentimental and overpay again. One million max for old Hambone, the Tampa/Vegas clearance sale is on. Good players must go!

If true Travis Green is a wanting, he's got Jim's ear no less, or so the story goes. He would be an upgrade on Benn. I like Benn as a team first guy and he's a supportive sort but the on ice performance is just not where it needs to be. Guess it all comes down to how important is this season?

Rather go with the prospects than Harmonic at this point. His mobility is Benn-like. The prospects are more mobile. It’s a short season and the prospects need minutes at the NHL level before Benn and Edler potentially leave as UFAs at the end of the upcoming season. Harmonic might even opt out due to Covid. PTO is as much as I’d offer Harmonic. Benning should hold to his plan and tell Green to play the kids and win if he wants his new contract. Green defers to veterans like Loui too much. Take away those options. I’d rather watch rookie mistakes than watch Harmonic get turnstiled each game. If they need to they can find a better add at the trade deadline when teams out of the playoffs with too many defensemen might give up someone good for a reasonable price to avoid losing him for nothing during the Seattle expansion draft.

I still think you put Myers with joulevi and hamonic with Hughes. Hughes makes those slow footed dmen look good, Luke Schenn and Tanev being 2 examples.

But there are three rookies on D that I want to see get NHL action this year. One of them (Rafferty) I wanted to see last year, but we had zero injuries on the right side.

Like, if Loui retires, we can get T Johnson for, like, Baertschi plus Ferland's LTIR. That kind of desperation deal appeals more than Hamonic, unless he does sign a Schenn style deal.

Another half decent vet who can move up and down the line-up (like Hamonic for example) is required unless we're going all in on the lottery (which we most certainly are not. Wasting an entry level year of QH and EP would be a magnanimous fuck up)

I endorse The Wiz idea. Like I said earlier, there would still be room for a new fella without injuries and I'm sure Travis will try at least 2 or 3 of our
other new Dees throughout the campaign.

Lurking!! All moved in and just hanging art work today. Then its time to go to the wine store. I have a new wine rack that holds 10bottles and its empty!!!

There hasn't been much on this site to really entice a girl to come out and play. Maybe once the season starts.
