Vancouver Canucks sign centre TyGraovac to a one-year, two-way contract.
Graovac, 27, appeared in eight games for the Canucks last season, scoring two goals. He also played in 11 games for the Utica Comets, recording two goals and one assist. He signed with the Canucks as...

Let's hope Graovac is able to employ his 'vacuum sealed' poaching system to good effect again this year.

Nice to see Graovac back. I didn't mind him last season as he brought some size and depth. He eve scored a couple goals for us in his limited action. Hope JB signs J.Bailey soon as well. :P

Moj with some #Canucks tidbits & what he's hearing lately:

"Calgary and Vancouver are in on Hamonic, and whoever can clear enough [cap] space, will end up getting him on a 1 year “show me” deal."

"It all comes down to Ferland & if he goes on LTIR."

Could live with that if Ferland is out. (and I think he should be for one full year since his last episode). Hamonic had a shitty year by his standards.

30 yrs old. Should have some umph left. Still would leave room for one newcomer if Jordie Benn sits some. I do think it's important to get one

or two prospects seeing some action. Critical really.

When I hear Travis Hamonic's name, I remember this;

Sticking up for a team-mate.

Doubt very much he comes our way...

Nice. Calgary spent alot of money in the offseason (on our guys), hopefully they won't be able to find the money. Maybe JB can add a mid-range asset (propect or pick) to move out Baercheese or Sutts to make cap room. :P

He may get the chance to play with hughes, I’d say Hughes can do for hamonic what he did for Tanev. That’s a pretty big lure.

Well he's not much of a skater, and his head don't seem to work too well

... but he's a decent RS physical bottom-pairing guy + penalty killer.

Also he's a solid character who sticks up for his teammates.

“One of things I've heard over the weekend is Travis Green is really making a case to management to try to get another defenseman. The guy that he would like to come to Vancouver is Travis Hamonic."

I'd love to have him here on a discounted "show-me" one-year contract.

(he won't get the multi-year $4M+ contract Micky predicted lol, more like a one-year $1.5M in my opinion)

Jeezus I wish Ferlie would stop dragging this thing out and do what's right for the team and for himself and tap out for the year at least. It's getting near time for Cool Hand Jim to work his magic and poach another good player from Vegas or Tampa Bay but he can't move as long as Ferl drags this shit out. What could possibly be in question about this is beyond me, four straight concussion-like situations every time he attempted to breathe hard over the past year. Guys is one hit away from walking around on his ear the rest of his life.

Somebody need to straight talk old Ferl in a serious big boy way.

He might have many moons ago when I said that. On that radio clip, Moj sais he doesn't think not choosing to participate in bubble play hurt his value.

I think it did for sure. I think a show-me deal would be more like 2.2.

Hamonic needs to come in at around one million to make it worthwhile to sign him. He's strictly third pairing material at this stage and that's where he would fit here. He is of the Schenn/Bagosian ilk, clinging fiercely to life whilst observing the onward march of evolution steadily eliminate his kind.

Hamonic beside OJ is where it's at.
