The played at the PNE Forum back then. The Forum didn't have plexiglass either, just wire fence. There had been a much larger arena on Denman back in the days of the Millionaires but it burned down in the 30s. The Coliseum open toward the end of the '67-68 season.

Mike Walton once stayed out and skated behind the Zamboni after a second period of a Canuck game to show his indignation regarding his ice-time.

Master hip checker Dan Hamhuis announces his retirement:
"Happily going into retirement now from hockey," Hamhuis said guesting on TSN 1040. "(I) feel real at peace with it."

Hamhuis also told the duo that going into this season, he went into the year thinking he'd spend one year in Europe or retire. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit the world, that took playing in Europe off the table for the veteran defenceman.

The 37-year-old had eight assists in 60 games with the Predators this season. He spent 16 season in the NHL with the Predators, Dallas Stars and Vancouver Canucks. He scored 59 goals and 297 assists in 1148 games

Hamhuis won an Olympic Gold Medal with Canada as part of the team that won the 2014 tournament in Sochi."
