Friedperson reports Leaves made a similar offer to what the Devs did for Markstrom.

(Devs got him for a 2025 conditional 1st round pick + Kevin Bahl)

I'm guessing it was their 23rd overall this year + Liljegren.

(Leaves rumoured to be done with Lilly, see him as a bottom pairing guy forever)

So Treliving loses out again, just like he did on Hanifin, Tanev, Zadorov, and Lindholm.

I feel like I'm forgetting someone.

Anyway, Leaves still in search of a true #1 tender.

Who else is available... Ullmark?

Can't see the bruins trading him to Toronto.

Saros maybe, but Trotz said he's trying to re-sign him.

Gibson out of Anaheim? LOL

And now Treliving rumoured to be trying to re-sign the psycho Marner.

Much to the chagrin of most Leaves fans.

Rumour is Marner refused to wave his NMC and they don't want to lose him for nothing after the season.

Is Tree experiencing PTSD in Hogtown after what happened in Cowtown 2 years ago?

I see a lot of disheartened Leafers swearing they'll quit as fans if Marner is re-signed.

Trouble in Pigtown!

Ullmark to Ottawa.

I'd love to see Blake flip Kuemper to Treliving.

Now THAT would.be some stellar GM'ing.

I'd move to see Ullmark go to Ottawa, but not sure if Ottawa is on his No Trade list.

As long as he doesn't go to Tarranna I'm happy.

Kind of ironic that Tanev and OEL ended up on the same team. I mean we lost Tanev to FA because we were fixated on making the OEL trade. Just saying.

So Toronto landed a middle pair of defensemen. One will play fewer than 60 games now that he's back on a team with forwards who don't pay the price to block shots. The other will likely be in over his head and return to the player he was in Vancouver.
Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..

Tanev's loss sucked - at the time, there was a lot of talk on how often he is injured etc., and I get that - but Van has been looking for his replacement since letting him go, even rumoured to try to bring him back via trade from Cal, and then again in FA. That was a bone-headed move letting him walk.

If keeping the 50 games of Tanev would have avoided the previous GM absolutely corncobbing us with the OEL trade, then I wish we would have kept Tanev.

That that whole period is not one of Bennings finest hours. Canucks are still paying for that non re-signing and the trade for OEL.

There were rumblings that ownership meddled that year due to COVID revenue drop
