Happy New Year

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

I probably could. Not sure about the copywriting/licensing if I post it.

The term, from what I understand, when a well to-do transitions from high society Vancouver to rammed earth Salt Spring they become what is commonly referred to as a - bourgeois hippy. They buy things like original art from your Ross Penhalls and obsess over one of a kind vintage custom fender guitars. The furniture is all custom made by BC’s finest craftsmen, micro dosing and gummies are a thing while sipping yogi chai turmeric tea with oat milk, the wine collection is outstanding. The daily vitamins consist of far out concoctions like Vitamin D with vitamin k with magnesium to stretch ones life. And they are usually part of these secret all male societies gathering a few times a year in places like Cortez Island. They are truly trying to grasp the essence out of life in their golden years while life slips away for eternity trying to make up for lost time due to being life long go-getter workaholics.

Ha! You’ve put plenty of thought into this I see…

When you finally leave Van there is a period of time where the inefficiencies of things really bother you. After more time away you find that what you once saw as inefficiency is now kitschy quaintness that makes the differences far more enjoyable.

Thought into it? Not really, it’s the Salt Spring scene, man. I have nothing against it, I mean, I’m actually envious of it. Who wouldn’t want to drink homemade cider with Randy Bachman in his rammed earth home?

Interesting, Chef. This kind of thing goes back a while, but the monied thing is more recent.

Isn't this also serving as the feeder system for Vancouver mayors and BC premiers?
