The outspoken player agent Allan Walsh has a podcast called Agent Provocateur.....
Was not aware.
Will scope it out.
Thanks for the heads up.

Twice a month. I listen on Spotify usually, but you can get it at all the usual places I think.

Spotify works.
All Pods I pay attention to are on that platform.
Thanks Megs.

I'm a Chiclets guy.
I think the show has evolved tremendously over the years and the addition of Yandle and dropping RA to a small weekly segment was a good business move.
I think that group is in tune with the league and the game (they do a college hockey segment for instance where they go visit programs for the ins and outs of teams and players et cetera) more than any media outlet and their inside info is legit.
I think the accusatory "click bait" assessment of them at this site some time back by some members was incorrect judgement.
I think the players as well as Chiclets other contacts in the league trust them with info as to whether it can be broadcast or not and their "inferred" comments can be regarded as factual when they can not straight up say what is up.
I think they come straight out and tell the listener/viewer when they are rumour mongering.
Their interviews can be stellar.
Blob mentioned Buium....it was a great interview. If you are a Canuck fan you should listen to it. Kid is mature and driven.
Biz, Whit and Yands get more interesting comments/stories out of players than any media honks.
If you are not listening, even selectively, you are missing out on good content.
Chiclets, via Barstool and along with the PFT and Rusillo Pods were just signed at Netflix.
Those guys are blowing up.
They really proved their legitimacy during the Babcockgate fiasco when they had the story, they were correct, and everyone else was wrong. Elliotte Friedman humiliated himself, oh, it was grand!
Ryan Whitney's tweet to Friedman afterward was gold.

Whitney's Tweet:
In response to the official pushback, Whitney stood by his reporting and tweeted: "When players from Columbus make a statement that the characterizations of Babcock from Biz and myself are false just know that's bulls---... I feel bad putting the players in a tough spot but Babcock is a complete weasel and shouldn't be coaching in the NHL". He later tweeted that the Spittin' Chiclets crew wasn't "making all that stuff up for clicks".

Further to the Netflix comment vis a vis Chiclets.
Big, big money in successful pods.
Yandle won't but Biz and Whit could both eclipse NHL earnings jn the pod game once all is said and done and Whitney made 30 mill plus in the show so that's saying something.

Good thread. The number of podcasts has exploded over the last few years, so it helps to get tips from fellow fans. I've been an avid listener of podcasts for the last 16 years - essentially became my preferred way to keep up with Vancouver, the Canucks and hockey since I left Canada (I loved commenting on this board back in the day, but it's easier to squeeze in podcasts on walks, gym etc.).
My preferred hockey podcasts are a mix of local Canucks shows and general hockey ones. With so many out there, I also try to focus on individual guests who are good contributors.
Canucks Podcasts
1. Halford & Brough - very solid and entertaining. Yes Brough can be 'grumpy' but hard not to blame him given the last 12 years and he balances out Halford well. Plus it was refreshing that he asked Alvin if the team has a "culture problem" after the Quinn Hughes trade.
2. Satiar Shah - very solid. I don't listen to all his podcasts but will prioritize his interviews on various local podcasts. I think he gives a very fair summary and interesting takes.
3. Ray Ferraro - similar to above. I don't listen to Ray & Dregs but I think Ferrero is one of the best in the biz. I'll listen to his spots on various podcasts.
Hockey Podcasts
1. Greg Wyshynski- he's my favourite hockey podcaster. He is kind of an obnoxious American at times but it's part of his schtick and I think he's quite informative and entertaining. I love his hits on Halford & Brough and all his podcasts.
2. Puck Soup - mix of pop culture & hockey, hosted by Sean McIndoe & Ryan Lambert. Evolution of the original "Marek vs. Wyshynski" podcast which is my favourite. Probably not for everyone here but I find it a refreshing take and they do various entertaining trivia games, live shows etc. (requires Patreon for that stuff)
3. The Sheet - I listen pretty much exclusively to the Wyshynski sessions as I think he and Marek balance each other well.
4. Spittin' Chiclets - Agree with others but I don't have time for the full 4 hr sessions - I listen whenever there are interesting guests or there's something significant (e.g. the 4 nations or the recent Hughes Trade).
5. Bardown - I watch this one on YouTube more than listen to it and it definitely skews younger (kids are like half my age) but it's a decent format and reminds of what it was like to be in my 20's!
Bonus
West Coast Express
https://podnews.net/podcast/ixwjn - couple of years ago but I thought this was a really entertaining multi-episode special on the WCE era. Good interviews and memories (even if that team is the poster boy of "underachieving" it was still a great ride for awhile!)

Thanks. Been in long hibernation, periodically lurking over the years but it has been too long! I'm so glad to see this message board is still alive and well and so many great posters still contributing!
I hope to participate more regularly - sad state of the franchise but hopefully we can finally rebuild into a serious contender!

Maybe the word “Rebuild” has stirred the most somnolent Canucks fans out of apathy…

Hahahaha! One can only hope! I was so relieved to hear that word only to have them backtrack so predictably!
I have never stopped watching the Canucks (though it's rare to watch them live anymore with the time difference) but I just progressively stopped checking this board as life got busier etc. I have however convinced my 3 English sons to become fans - maybe that makes me a terrible dad!

One of these days I'll need to take them to a game in person - last Canucks game I attended was 2007!

Even if it does, you're one up on me still.....my British Colombian born son chose the Flames as his team to spite his old man.

Hey, nice to get some old faces back. When was our cc meet and greet at Sharks? 2004 or 2008?
Still have great memories bout this night.
What a fun run.
MCP is still posting here but Matty, Meers and Robert were quiet for many years.
My last visit to Rogers Arena together with Matty was against the Red Wings in 2008. He gave me the season ticket of his wife. Last time being in Van was in 2015, because of stupid ticket prices my last live hockey game was at Pacific Coliseum watching the Giants. Admission was 15 bucks when i remember correctly. Ty Ronning was playing, he's now in Berlin for a few years and always top scoring.
