This was rumoured soon after Allvin's firing. Not a real surprise, just kind of awkward... like your ex moving into the house next door after the divorce.

Apparently Darnell Nurse has requested a trade - LOL. Who the hell is going to take on that contract without a massive sweetener? The Oilers are going to have to retain a huge amount of that contract, so it's not like they will free up $9.5 million in cap savings. On top of that he has a limited no trade clause, and has a 3 to 5 team list of his possible destinations

Edit - so 2 teams could retain salary on Nurse, but the 2nd trade/retention has to happen 75 days after the first one. So maybe not impossible, just highly improbable.

I'm guessing RoboSwede is making more as AGM for the Kraken than RyJo is making as Canuck GM

Same with the Flames - even if you get two 1st in the deal, the Oilers are heading in the wrong direction and those could become fairly high 1sts.
