Did I imagine that or....?
Who?
She always makes me randy. Not for her though. Kinda like seeing a Miller light commercial, and wanting a beer.
Anyone got her complete name? so, my friend, can do some research

If you like a game with plenty of emotion, I don't think we'll see more until at least the 2nd round of the playoffs.

I don't remember, did any Canadian arena boo the Russian anthem back in '72?

In case anyone missed it, we have a GDT for today's game:

Parayko isn't a fighter but he was throwing viscious uppercuts at a clearly overmatched Miller. JT looked like Randall Tex Cobb after Larry Holmes sorted him out.

That's two blues that have swung at him to hurt him.

Real stand up guy.

Well, American hockey has arrived. Kind of frightening when you look around the NHL and see they could actually ice two very good teams. They had an extremely well rounded team, their defence is absolutely rock solid. No team in this tourney is going to break through that.

Over the last 10 draft classes you can see how this evolved. Too many Canadians drafted in the 1st round simply not panning out:

2015
Canada - McDavid, Marner, Konecny
USA - Eichel, Werenski, Connor, Hanafin

2016
Canada - nobody
USA - Matthews, Tkachuk, Keller, McAvoy

2017
Canada - Makar
USA - Oettinger

2018
Canada - Nobody
USA - Tkachuk, Hughes

2019
Canada - Harley - 18th OA
USA - Hughes, Boldy

2020
Canada - Jarvis - 13th OA
USA - Sanderson

2021
Canada - Nobody
USA - Nobody

2022
Canada - Nobody
USA - Nobody

2023
Canada - Nobody
USA - Nobody

2024
Canada - Nobody
USA - Nobody

14 Americans picked in the 1st round on the team and just 6 Canadians over that span.

This is with Canada grossly outnumbering the Americans in what country has seen more players drafted in the first round over the last decade.

Too many Canadians drafted in the first round are simply not panning out. There’s where the Americans surpassed us. From 2015 to 2020 in development.

What’s even more troubling is Canada’s top CHL players will now be flooding to the NCAA with the NCAA recently making their league eligible for top CHL players to jump over. The WHL, CHL and OHL will become the CFL of amateur hockey in North America.

Just a matter of time.

When the USA decided to compete with Canada in hockey (15 years ago -ish?) they created the development program. With 10x the population we have, when we did not adjust, it was a matter of time until they caught us (talent wise)… you know, about 1 generation of hockey players.

If Canada does not adjust, 15 more years will see us as another euro nation… just our exceptional players getting into the show.

Smells of the Red Army program the USSR had.

But we won't tell.

I think most people would find this to be a reasonable post. And you didn't need a thousand posts to communicate it.

I’ve been saying the same thing as Mad Comb said for years. It’s just taken Blobbee a few trips around the Sun to realize it.

Canada will still be able to compete just as long as the lazy fucks at Hockey Canada and the rest of the old guard running the CHL from coaching on up to management get their fat heads out of their Tim Horton asses we will be fine. I ain’t blaming the hockey academies across Canada as they are progressive in their development similar to the USA but it’s the rest of the contingent that needs to on wake up and get with the times.
