It doesn't matter as much, but it still matters.

It is useful to leave the management at least the option of taking on the last few years of someone else's version of an Eriksson / OEL contract in exchange for the assets they'd have to throw in.

Yup, weoponizing cap space is still a thing. I just hope whomever's in control has the foresight and creativity to use it positively.
