You're right about those two Chef, I'll definitely have an eye on them. Yes, it is too bad about Lawrence, he's the center this year.
What concerns me about Lawrence is he’s not tall and he’s slight (skinny). The kid who impresses me is Viggo Bjorck when it comes to centre, yes not very tall but is stocky with a low centre of gravity. Sometimes reminds me of Patrick Kane the way he plays. He sure ain’t afraid of the dirty areas.

My beef with Mckenna is he doesn’t carry the play. The puck is as quickly off his stick as soon as he gets it. I ain’t picking on the kid but he hasn’t impressed me nowhere near to the level Stenberg has. The puck seems to follow the “special” players around just simply due to their hockey IQ and seem to hold on to it longer than the average player, driving the play. Just not seeing that with McKenna. He looks very ordinary out there.
I read a good "best case ontario" comparable to Stenberg's ceiling as Kucherov and I think I agree. He has shown flashes

I like how Stenberg carries the play and is hard to knock off the puck. Definitely see some Kucherov in his game. He’s very poised with the puck, makes everything look easy

I just realized Jake O'Brien isn't on Team Canada.
Does anyone know what is going on there?
Roger McQueen?

At first glance, the US seems to have done a much better job of selecting the best players available this year.

Reid looked really bad on that one goal. Hunter will have to tighten it up defensively.
The Americans have a bigger D named Reid, a right shot, who is a top prospect in the upcoming draft. He looked solid yesterday.
Chase>Cameron
What's the deal with Verhoeff? Is he injured?

No, they've chosen to go with others instead (like Cameron). He's either sitting on the bench watching or eating popcorn.

McQueen is struggling in college. And Hunter chose his guy - O’Reilly over O’Brien. I thought O’Brien was one of our better forwards in the pre-tourney game. Desnoyers who is there and chosen over O’Brien has looked completely lost out there.

Canada’s Reid has been awful. He must have scandalous photos on Dale Hunter because for the life of me I am dumbfounded as to why they continue to play him.
I will say, I’m impressed with the MacKenzie kid.

Lol it's one game. Not sure how anyone can say the US has a better team at his point.

O'Brien was running at a two points per game pace for a while in the 'O'. Probably old skool Francis talked him out of college.
Roger McQueen is most definitely not struggling in college.

Verhoeff likely regarded by Hunter as still a pup in the woods.

Watch Ryker Lee and Zellers on the Americans, super impressive. And how the fuck did Horcoffs kid go so late in the first round? He’s really impressive.

He seems to be handling himself mightily in the NCAA against older players. Don’t get it, to be honest. Is the American Reid, Smits and Carels that much older than he is? They are draft mates getting considerable minutes in the tourney.
