Those trajectories are total cases though. So who cares. Of course it's going to go up over time as this thing spreads.Megaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Sat May 02, 2020 6:16 pm I guess this has probably been posted here by now. You can while away time playing around isolating countries and stuff.

Yeah, I've been wondering how many people that get sick, stay home, get over it and go back to work are actually being included in this myself. I don't think we'rte near done with this thing either. I expect it to continue on for some time despite everyone's best efforts.Mëds wrote: ↑Sat May 02, 2020 9:19 pmThose trajectories are total cases though. So who cares. They aren't properly tracking recoveries because they aren't retesting everyone who tests positive, they just send them home, isolate, and tell them when they are symptom free for 5 days they are free to resume life as it currently is.
The average person is apparently fully recovered and no-longer contagious after 14 days of first symptoms. So according to that chart, if the US has 1 million cases at day 60, then go back 14 days from day 60 and subtract all the cases before that.
So they had ~ 725K cases on day 45'ish.
1M subtract 725K.....wow. The US just dumped to 250K cases.
So 0.07% of the population is sick.
In Canada we have 55K cases at day 51.
Back on day 37 we had 30K cases.
Ummm.....0.04% of our population is sick.
I'm glad we took a hatchet to our economy for this.
Hi there. I'm a Coronavirus. I mutated. You've never seen me like this before so I'm gonna spread fast and kick ass for a bit. I'm now the new flu. We'll have this thing around for a long time, just like influenza.Megaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Sat May 02, 2020 9:31 pm Yeah, I've been wondering how many people that get sick, stay home, get over it and go back to work are actually being included in this myself. I've been reading that the US armed forces are beginning to be beset with this thing too. And they're in over 160 countries. They could soon be spreading more than freedom to hot spots like Syria and Iraq. War torn Syria has been pretty fortunate so far as far as the spread of this thing is concerned but they can't seal their borders with various belligerent armed groups moving in and out of the country freely. It's a place I'm keeping an eye on.Mëds wrote: ↑Sat May 02, 2020 9:33 pm Hi there. I'm a Coronavirus. I mutated. You've never seen me like this before so I'm gonna spread fast and kick ass for a bit. People who get sick and stay home are NOT included in the stats at all. The stats are only confirmed cases.
I realize that we just met, but since we're going to be spending some time together, I was wondering, do you mind if I call you RonaMëds wrote: ↑Sat May 02, 2020 9:33 pm

As with all great republics the USofA will crumble from within.Chef Boi RD wrote: ↑Sat May 02, 2020 11:23 pm Ya know, there’s a good chance we may never even find a vaccine for covid 19. It may just be a virus we have to live with. and hope you never get. The “new normal” is alive and well and permanent
American deaths surpassed Vietnam War deaths today. At 58,300 now with 1,400 dying today. But hey, get and vote for Trump
The American Empire is falling before our eyes

I believe every bit of it, my wife is American from California, her family is all in and around L.A. I truly got an understanding of that “decaying America” within the first hour of meeting some factions of her family in their environment, the ignorance, lack of intelligence, unworldly, completely obliviousness to all things outside of “America”, inherent racism, lazy views, blah blah it was quite gross to be honest and these are your typical middle class, working class white LA suburbia types. Her family is split down the middle, the Trump whitey half are complete fucking ignorant morons, stupid as fuck and the other half - the liberal hippies were normal, intelligent and decent.rats19 wrote: ↑Sun May 03, 2020 9:16 am*sticks head in sand*Chef Boi RD wrote: ↑Sun May 03, 2020 8:38 am “These are the good times compared to what’s coming next” - Pulitzer Winner Chris Hedges

What that article identifies well is that both parties in the states are fucked.
