He might take it as sarcasm. Then what? He looks like a dickhead even more if makes a comment.

And we are already the most hated team I never the league by other fan bases (we are a team people love to hate!), eastern media (he'll, even most of the local media hates the team), officials and DPS can't make a fair call for us... I guess I am saying that when your already the most hated team, the haters really can't hate any more...

And like you said, Gary really has done some good things for the sport and the game. Not sure if he 'saved hockey' as some suggest, but he has accomplished a lot in a shitty situation, and the league is stable without any obvious criminals in it anymore..

Now, don't get me wrong, I would happily supply the catapult for the soft rotten mini pumpkins to be hurled like flung poo from a monkeys ass, but I think this would throw too many people for a loop and that would amuse the hell out of me!

Meh I don’t think anyone hates the Canucks anymore. They have been a tire fire most of the last six seasons. I think people feel sorry for them at this point.

I would imagine that some might feel that way, but as a Canuck fan who isn't from Vancouver, and a guy that travels too much for work, we are hated. Perhaps when you get into a rivalry market (Hans and Bruins for example) we are not the most hated, but we are in top 3. People either love us or hate us. And when we are winning, they hate us.

Now, the scary part is that some people feel sorry for the coilers...

Albortions revel in the canucks futility. So do torontoiletites. Mostly because you post pictures of flowers in february and hypocritically block pipes then whine about pump prices

Oh and a when they show the crowd at gm place you either see the greasenecked guido from the lennox pub or 90% corporate ticket recipients watching their first ice hockey game

It’s a weird phenomenon but not really, the Toronto based hockey media in this country has always had a love affair for the two Alberta teams, especially Edmonton. Their dislike for Vancouver, I believe it’s rooted in politics, beyond the BC Alberta border heading west has always been looked upon by the east as something like “oh...them.”

I don't think the Canucks are well liked at all.
If there was ever a time they had the most respect, IMO, it was the 94 team and that run.

We loved the Sedin era here, but from what I saw and heard, most of the North America hockey world, not so much.
Guess it was just too different.

Things like the green men, really don't help. Think about that. If you were on the other side,
would you like it?

I have always thought, other buildings play better music, much better!!!!!.

It's not really the city though. The olympics were extremely well regarded and so was Expo 86.

Does anyone know how many Ontario immigrants we accept, lots !

It all just don't matter, Because............................The Emerald City is gonna rule the west for a bit, as an aside, fuck em.
That will come up when the Buttman is here, bank on it.

Many people are jealous of our beautiful lower mainland. That creates applied contempt, right?
They should try paying the prices here.
Most cities and munies around here hardly keeps things even half as maintained as they use to. Sad really,
it's a bit of a dump now if you look closely.

However, it is my opinion that the commish will be on his best behavior when he graces us with his presence.

If you don't want to "risk it" and take Caufield at #10 the safer pick is 5'11 - 190lbs Alex Newhook. that is if Boldy, Zegras and Soderstrom are gone by then. Boldy seems like a Anaheim Ducks type who pick right before us.
Alex Newhook:
explosive forward … at his best with puck on his stick … always wants the puck … plays with no fear … quick release … dangerous every shift
-ISS Hockey 2017
"The BCHL’s leading scorer with 53 points in 31 games at just 17 years of age, the Newfoundlander is one of the best skaters in the entire draft and also possesses some of the best playmaking and creativity."
-FutureConsiderations

Scott Gomez electric scoring in BCHL, Newhook should have a strong showing in Boston College next season. from BCHL->BC->VanBC seems fitting. ha
Canada beat Belarus 6-5 in a U18 friendly.

Alex Newhook scored a hat trick and OT winner.

Dylan Cozens 3 assists.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

Fuck skyo newhook sounds damn good from that. Scoring a hattie while a guy who will go quite a bit higher only picks up the assists sounds good to me man

facts, in any case a top 10 pick typically is usually a superb NHL player so long as the scouts do their homework.

But still kinda hoping Soderstrom is the guy picked, he'd really help shore up the right side defense & help solidify the D prospect core.

And as I said many times, wish we had another 1st round pick.

Oh yeah. Forgot that one.

Still...Marky will be a relatively affordable option allowing them to entice the bread man+ to boost their contender status.

Maybe...

We could get another 1st, but it would likely take trading for another 2nd then flipping that 2nd and #40 for a late 1st. I’d be ok with it if Jimbo and Brackett had somebody close to the end of the round that they really liked.

I’m just not seeing the chips to get another first but if we are bringing back Edler and they are wanting to promote Juolevi then the left side is stacked with Edler, Hughes, Hutton and Juolevi. Tryamkin also is a left shot D-man as well as Sautner, Teves and Brisebios. Maybe Hutton is moved but at the most you’re getting a 2nd for him unless we package him with our 2nd. I wouldn’t be trading Juolevi. Virtanen might get ya something close to a late first but that’s a backwards move by the Canucks with pressure mounting to start winning now instead of waiting 2-3-4 years for a late first rounder to develop. The likes of Virtanen and Hutton in a “hockey trade” makes more sense.

Is it out of the realm to trade Gaudette? Keep Sutter around to hold a place for when Madden arrives? Not sure how the Sutter/Gaudette situation unfolds, I gather Gaudette starts the year in Utica? Then Sutter gets injured 2 weeks into the season?

Sutter was interviewed at the end of the season and he said he has no problem playing on the wing. He thinks it is good to have some centre depth. I agree. I don’t see the issue with keeping them both.
