Sparks injured, Emery signed to PTO. Goalies falling and they don't trust Bernier.

Saw a news item/tumour that the Flames were checking out Berny Nelson.

Well the Flames goaltending couldn't get worse

... and they'd likely get something nice from the Leaves just for taking Bernier off their hands at this point.

In Leafland no matter what happens, win or lose, they are always #winning like Charlie.

They are #1 in Total Salaries ($84M) and 4th-worst in winning percentage (after tonight)

http://www.generalfanager.com/teams

... and yet somehow they are over-performing!

If they go into the tank, Shanny + Lou will be hailed as geniuses for getting them a high pick in a rebuild.

If they don't go into the tank it will be: "The Cock is a genius, WOW just wait until he gets some actual talent!!"

If they trade all their best players for draft picks, they are winning, winning, winning....

I thought it was great they pumped Bernier's tires right before the Sharks decided to spike a football in his crease.

Let be honest, the Nucks and leaves aren't far apart in many categories this season... but can you image a member of the local media doing a puff piece like that on the Canucks right now?

Well, if it wasn't for the Patrick Kane effect :look: they'd be leading the league in viral load..

The Toronto media is far more brutal to the leaves than the Vancouver media is to the Canucks.

The leaves "Advanced Stats" are far better, and if not for Bernier, would be close to, if not in a playoff spot. Not to mention the leaves had zero expectations going into the year. Not the same situation as with the Canucks.

You can nit-pick any story. We have reporters making-up stories about players eating hot dogs. It's brutal.
