Teams are contacting Laines camp, either offer sheet or trade. The Jets should do it. Get a top young D-man and forward. I’d hit up the Blues for Parayko, Thomas and Kyrou or the Isles for Dobson and Wahlstrom or the Flyers for Frost or Patrick and Myers or Provorov.

sportsnet;
The Calgary Flames have signed restricted free agent Matthew Tkachuk to a three-year bridge deal worth $7 million per year, according to Sportsnet’s Ryan Leslie.

The Calgary Flames and restricted free-agent forward Matthew Tkachuk are closing in on a three-year deal worth an average annual value of $7 million, according to TSN's Bob McKenzie.
Tkachuk will be a restricted free agent when the deal expires.
The 21-year-old will make $9 million in the third season of the contract, according to TSN's Darren Dreger. He'd receive a qualifying offer of at least that amount for a potential fourth year, should the sides fail to agree to a new deal before that time

Did anybody mention what a weird return Carolina got for Faulk?
A #4 dman signed for one more year and a former 1st rounder prospect? Or am I missing something about Bokk?

Tkachuk $7Mx3 bridge.
Now we wait for Laine, Rantanen, Connor.
A former 1st round - 25th overall pick, only 19 yet, right shot skilled scoring winger.
Petey back when he was with Vaxjo said this about the German:

Bokk is a pretty good prospect to add to the Canes cupboards as they were lacking in that regard, while the Blues have a decent amount of young prospects up front.

Petey back when he was with Vaxjo said this about the German:
Elias Pettersson told The Hockey News: “He’s very good. Like me, he’s not the biggest guy on the ice, but he’s very technical, very smart, has good stickhandling skills and a good shot.”
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

I don't have a crystal ball, but it's quite possible that we would have dropped down and not have had franchise #1 center Elias Pettersson.Cornuck wrote: ↑Wed Sep 25, 2019 12:22 pmI'm so glad we didn't draft him when we had the chance! Keith's kid is now the highest-paid, 4th leading scorer while the vets who have and continue to lead the team might not be so happy about that (privately). Elias Lindholm must be kicking himself.

Lol.
That's 2 teams that gave up on him.
What are the media saying now?? That Boston didn't give him a chance either??

The 'Chain of Command' is the chain I am going to beat you with until you understand I am in charge.

Why the Canucks let him go after this past season, and signed Jay Beagle last year (whom the NYR were after), whose is the "first player to complete the trifecta of winning the Kelly Cup (ECHL), Calder Cup (AHL) and a Stanley Cup (NHL)."Madcombinepilot wrote: ↑Thu Sep 26, 2019 1:03 pmLol.

[Beagle]“He’s made for the playoffs,” said goalie Braden Holtby, teammates with Beagle since 2009 with Hershey. “I’ve seen Jay play in the playoffs for a long time. That guy is an absolute warrior. He’s a gamer — he shows up every single game and does the little things right. He’s probably one of, if not the most, respected guy in our locker room.”
“He’s an ultimate pro,” said teammate T.J. Oshie. “He comes to the rink every day and puts in twice the effort and twice the work as everyone else.”

AV quickly becoming a fan fave in Philadelphia:
flyers blog writer Dan Silver:
Flyers head coach Alain Vigneault over the past few days has said...
"Be a fucking Flyer" to the players
"Ya can't win with goaltending like that...it's shit" to Mike Yeo
And basically told our GM that Chris Stewart sucks (“I didn’t think he was very good last night”)

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
Matt Tkachuk takes some flak on this board about his character and does play a bit like a weasel at times; however, Treliving does have this to say about the negotiations.
https://www.bardown.com/matthew-tkachuk ... Cu4ctlEkrMAccording to Treliving, Tkachuk wanted to get it done but it “could not, would not” result in the elimination of a teammate
