I prefer my country when he's not actually in it anyhow.....Megaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Sat Jun 13, 2026 12:06 pmJustin Trudeau opts for USMNT’s World Cup opener, not Canada’s
On a day that Canada and the United States both opened their campaigns at the FIFA World Cup, Justin Trudeau opted to watch Team USA.
Trudeau, the 54-year-old former prime minister of Canada, was in attendance for the U.S.’s game against Paraguay in Inglewood, Calif. on Friday night. He was not there to watch Canada battle back to earn a 1-1 draw against Bosnia and Herzegovina in Toronto earlier in the day.
The reason for his decision is obvious. Trudeau’s girlfriend is Katy Perry, and the 41-year-old pop star performed in the opening ceremony before the U.S.-Paraguay match.
During the first half, Trudeau and Perry were seen sitting together in one of the luxury suites at SoFi Stadium (called Los Angeles Stadium during the World Cup) as the Americans raced out to a 3-0 lead behind two goals from striker Folarin Balogun and a Paraguayan own goal. The U.S. went on to win the game, 4-1.
Canada’s game kicked off in Toronto at 3 p.m. ET, while the United States’ game started at 9 p.m. ET.

Re: Just Not ready
Here is the current update on the approved projects coming out of Carney's Major Projects Office as of June, 2026 (Just the approvals since the MPO was initiated in August, 2025)
1.
The End.
Stay tuned for future updates. As we are "building at speeds not seen in generations", updates are coming faster than you can imagine. As Ferris Bueller said ""Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.""

Re: Just Not ready
does canada have any major projects started since carney launched the major projects initiative?
What about:
Yes, Canada has launched and fast-tracked several major "nation-building" initiatives since Prime Minister Mark Carney introduced the Major Projects Office to streamline approvals and construction timelines. These developments focus heavily on the clean economy, mining, and trade corridors.Major projects selected for federal backing include:
Contrecœur Container Terminal: A major port expansion project at the Port of Montréal to expand existing capacity by 60%, which has broken ground and is set to become the largest eastern port expansion in Canadian history.
Ksi Lisims LNG: A nearly $30 billion liquefied natural gas facility in northwestern British Columbia, which aims to be one of the lowest-emission LNG operations in the world.
Alto High-Speed Rail: A proposed 1,000 km high-speed railway connecting Toronto to Québec City.
Darlington New Nuclear Project: Expansion of nuclear power capabilities in Ontario to incorporate small modular reactors.
Critical Minerals & Energy: Several large mining and electrical transmission projects, including Canada Nickel's Crawford Project in Ontario, the Matawinie graphite mine in Quebec, and an extensive power transmission expansion in northern British Columbia.
That was a Google search result

Or are you looking for things that happen faster because it is Canada after all....nobody slows down progress with red tape better than Canada and all the special interest groups that hinder and obstruct any and everything
If you need air...call it in
