Who Do U Want to See as Next GM of the Nucks?
OK, things are starting to heat up, so let's hear it. Who do you want to see as the next General Manager of your Vancouver Canucks?

For the 4th or 5th time Evan Gold.....
...the 2025-26 Providence Bruins finished the regular season with a stellar 54-16-2-0 record, securing the Macgregor Kilpatrick Trophy as the AHL regular-season champions with 110 points. They posted a .750 points percentage, ranking first in the Atlantic Division and securing a first-round bye in the Calder Cup Playoffs
24/25 41-23-8
23/24 42-21-6
22/23 44-18-8
....but AIG has likely never heard of him.
Probably end up a fucking Leave.

Why isn’t Picker of Cherries on the list?
I’m some other dood, and if you ask me, better than anyone listed here.

If it were my call, I would go with our Nuck alumni, Bergy (Marc Bergevin). I really liked his work with the Habs and was surprised he got canned shortly after he got them to the Bubble finals, slow start. He's not afraid to make deals and I like the way he builds his teams, big doods/horses on his D core that are built for the playoffs. KInda similar to Tocc in that regard.
Off the top of my head, some of his moves:
- Traded PK Subban for S.Weber. At the time, I thought it was a bad move, but think they came out on the better end. Subban was a charismatic/dynamic D-man, but quickly faded. Weber was as steady as they come and could solidify a D-core and he was key to help them reach the finals.
- Traded aging star Pacioretty for N.Suzuki (hwy robbery)
- Didn't match the Canes in the Kotkaniemi offer sheet.
- Found the Costco kid, Arber Xhekaj from nowhere. He's one dood I would luv see a Nuck.
- One move he would prob like to have back, great pick in drafting Sergachev, but traded him for a highly touted French kid, J.Drouin.
He also has a scouting background, which would be a great fit for our rebuild. I don't mind RJ for our backup pick and promote within, but Bergevin would be my top choice. The only thing is, I think he's a bit of a personality and wouldn't want someone telling him what to do (ahem Aquas). He won't be a pushover like JB & Patty A. That could be the mean reason why ownership might go with a different dood.

Thanks Todd. Adams, Johnston, or Bergevin for me. Though I did vote for some other dusde, since none of these choices get me very excited.Todd Bersnoozi wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2026 7:06 pmIf it were my call, I would go with our Nuck alumni, Bergy (Marc Bergevin). Rob Blake would be tragic. I do think Peter Chiarelli would probably do a decent job, despite all the flak he gets for his Edmonton experience.
I'm still thinking ahout it at this point.

I'm hearing that Mr Aquilini will be making the call, not Rutherford. As much as I don't teust Rutherford, this is bad news, if true.

Show JR and Cammie the door.
POHO: Mike Gillis
GM: Bergevin
AGM: Pronger or Getzlaf
AGM: RJ
AGM: Emilie (contracts/capologist)
I like Bergevin for the same reasons as ‘Snoozi.
As Donny mentions, Evan Gold, should be on that list, I don’t know enough about him, and we tried a former Beantown secondary executive and it didn’t work. Lol.
On Gillis, he may have left the cupboards bare and drafted like a meathead, but his vision for a team was good. He was big on some stuff (like fatigue, recovery, human performance, and analytics) that he gets shit on for around here at times, but when he was doing that stuff as GM, nobody else in the league was…..now everyone is.
During his tenure Vancouver was a player destination, our team medical and training staff were well respected. Our coaching staff and team culture was really good. Just a little bit pussified…..but that had more to do with the Sedins and AV than GMMG.
As POHO he sets those directions, but leaves the GM to walk them out with the AGMs, and also to construct the team and handle the scouts and drafting.
