The way this Dpetey kid moves out there is eye opening. He seems to have taken a significant step forward in his game I think

The kid is giving some serious ‘poor man’s Edler’ vibes. Kid could be a diamond in the rough.Cousin Strawberry wrote: ↑Mon Apr 14, 2025 9:11 pm The way this Dpetey kid moves out there is eye opening. He seems to have taken a significant step forward in his game I think

Remember all the salivating over Brayden Schneider? I'd say right now they are pretty close to being the same level and type of player

Ya good on DeBrusk getting #28. New season high for him. He is worth his contract.
Really liking DPetey. He is still so young and learning the NHL game. I'd like to see him add a little muscle and learn to throw more of those hits while not becoming like Juulsen.
Really liked KK's game too. Smooth skater, good passer and not afraid to join the rush. Had some good keeps on the O blue line.
Tough game for Mancini with 3 penalties but overall his game is good.
Which one of the three can we convert to the RSD?
Think McWard has a shot to make the team next year. We do need some RSD in the system until we find out what we have in Willander, if we have Willander.
D is looking promising. I'd still bring Forbert back on a one or two year deal to give us more development time and to help the kids ease into the NHL game.
I'm definitely not bring Brock back at anything over 4-5 years. He is the real pouty on the team.
Look at Raty getting the key F/O assignments. He has come a long way and to be trusted by the coach is huge. I'd keep him over Blueger.
One more to go Donny......But if we beat Vegas, you get the first regular season game next season. I have spoken!!!!
And congrats to Hughes for tying Edler for most points by a Dman. I hope he gets a point against Vegas and gets that record out of the way.

Re: OTW-GDT: Canucks host Sharks Apr 14/25 @ 7 PM PST SNP
There’s no question I’m picking Celebrini over Bedard. There is simply more to Celebrini’s game than Bedard who is looking more and more like a one trick pony PP specialist, he sucks 5 on 5. Celebrini plays a very smart well rounded game, a true no. 1 centre. I think what Bedard’s problem is he’s had it easy his whole life, and now in the NHL where there is little room out there where you have to go to the dirty areas to make things happen in a phone booth making the most of your opportunities, he is starting to develop a defeatist attitude from it, succumbing to frustration, hence Petey. Watching Bedard, ya notice he gives up easy when the game gets tight and hard and stops moving his feet, not a good sign. If he don’t fix it soon he’s heading straight to Zegras territory, all skill no compete. Celebrini all the way. In a redraft I’m picking Fantilli over Bedard. What a beast Fantilli is turning into.

I'd take Bedard in a heartbeat and would give up pretty well anything off the Canucks roster to make it happen.
He's still very young and has exceptional agility in traffic plus the vision and variety of lethal shots to dominate once he rounds into form. Not sure what you're seeing that indicates he's not going to excel.
