I think King Arturs signed a 1-way deal though, would we have to expose him on waivers to send him down?Hockey Widow wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2024 2:36 am I still think they like him in Abbotsford at least to start the season.

No, he gets a fourth year of waiver exemption as a goaltender.Todd Bersnoozi wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2024 10:44 amI think King Arturs signed a 1-way deal though, would we have to expose him on waivers to send him down?Hockey Widow wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2024 2:36 am I still think they like him in Abbotsford at least to start the season.
No waivers this coming year.
let's give Peter the 'C'
Re: Canucks News N Notes 24-25
1 way deals aren't what makes up waiver eligibility. It just dictates that he'd be paid the same NHL rate in the NHL or in the AHL (2 way deals have a different salary for play time in the AHL)Todd Bersnoozi wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2024 10:44 amI think King Arturs signed a 1-way deal though, would we have to expose him on waivers to send him down?Hockey Widow wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2024 2:36 am I still think they like him in Abbotsford at least to start the season.

Read some SI article about how DeBrusk requested a trade out of Boston, not once - but twice, because of a scratch in the playoffs. Kind of came off sounding a bit entitled.
Hopefully the coaching staff has a good handle on this. Might be a good idea to feed McEntitled to Miller instead of putting him on Knee's line.

Who can say? He may have had issues with Bruce Cassidy, who was the coach at the time of the trade requests but was replaced by Montgomery after the 21-22 season. Maybe Cassidy was the problem? Either way, he rescinded the requests and he may have grown up since 2022. His characterization of his discussion with Tocchet already are cause for optimism.JelloPuddingPop wrote: ↑Thu Jul 18, 2024 7:54 am Read some SI article about how DeBrusk requested a trade out of Boston, not once - but twice, because of a scratch in the playoffs. I don't think anyone's expecting him to make too dramatic an impact on the team, but even a 10% improvement on his production last year while playing a responsible physical game could be the nudge the team needs to tip into true contender status.
I wonder how conflicted his dad will be when he works Edmonton-Vancouver games?

Where did you dig this piece of artwork up, Corn? Other than the Canada Place sails being in False Creek, everything else seems pretty accurate.
