Peeps out for blood on Jarmo.
Ownership had to issue a statement, it was getting so bad:
Editor’s Note: Two hours after this column was published, Blue Jackets owner John P. McConnell issued a statement saying “we do not anticipate further changes to our hockey leadership at this time. Additional disruptions would be detrimental to our players and coaches as they prepare for the opening of training camp.”

Is a socialpathic predator the latest member of the alphabet club and referring to someone who identifies as a digital tracker/stalker that hunts on Facebook?
Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
I think this was clear evidence of cancel culture at work in the NHL.

All true, but Babcock was the perfect coach for the Leaves.Megaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Sun Sep 17, 2023 4:55 pmBabs is a different cat than hardass old-school guys like Torts and Keenan. Those guys are direct and to the point albeit unpleasant.Blob Mckenzie wrote: ↑Sun Sep 17, 2023 1:42 pm This seems like folks are on a bit of a witch hunt for Babs. I don’t think there was anything sinister regarding this whole fiasco. But that’s what it’s turned into……..a fiasco. The guy can’t stay in his own lane. Can’t stay out of his own way. It’s too bad because it’s clear he has a good mind for the game and can get a lot out of some players.
Mike Babcock can’t adapt much like Mike Keenan snd John Tortorella. We will see if Coach Q joins that pile. And before you say well Torts still has a gig, Philly hired him to weed the garden. They value his mind, not his ability to communicate to todays players long term.
These coaches are more communicators and babysitters today. The perfect amount of mollycoddling and the delegating to assistants is what’s required.
Guys like Pat Quinn, Barry Trotz and Ken Hitchcock adapted. A guy like Don Hay did not.
Babs is a narcissistic psychopath who has to sort of fake it at being a normal human being and his issues flow from there.
He likes to play psychological games with people and he's just a really weird dude by most accounts.

You know, the old generation never had issues when we openly left our photo albums on the coffee table for all our guests to flip through.
OMG, how did that polaroid of my wife's hairy beaver end up in there?!

Well if the story is as said, that he asked to see pics of their family to get to know the players (which is a story that some of the players confirmed) then WTF is the problem?5thhorseman wrote: ↑Mon Sep 18, 2023 4:47 pmMaybe some of the players sext their wives/girlfriends so their phone is a very private thing. I can see how they'd be uncomfortable.
If the player didn’t want Babs snooping on their phone then they simply exercise their right to say no and don’t hand him your phone.
This reeks of fabricated cancel culture.

While we will never know the real truths behind the Babcock stories (I don’t see predator? — but I could be wrong), but if I was in Babcock’s shoes, I would look at all the drama caused by the youth of today, then look at those 50 sheets Toronto already paid me, then decide the drama is not worth it…
When you have been paid 50+ million already for how you do something, you don’t change your style for a new job. They knew what they were hiring.

Yeah, because it's so easy to say no to authority figures.Mëds wrote: ↑Mon Sep 18, 2023 5:36 pmWell if the story is as said, that he asked to see pics of their family to get to know the players (which is a story that some of the players confirmed) then WTF is the problem?5thhorseman wrote: ↑Mon Sep 18, 2023 4:47 pmMaybe some of the players sext their wives/girlfriends so their phone is a very private thing.
