Yeah, this looks like a public relations hit job on the Cock. The question is who are the ones giving out the daggers with instructions?

Babs is a different cat than hardass old-school guys like Torts and Keenan. Those guys are direct and to the point albeit unpleasant.Blob Mckenzie wrote: ↑Sun Sep 17, 2023 1:42 pm This seems like folks are on a bit of a witch hunt for Babs. I don’t think there was anything sinister regarding this whole fiasco. But that’s what it’s turned into……..a fiasco. The guy can’t stay in his own lane. Can’t stay out of his own way. It’s too bad because it’s clear he has a good mind for the game and can get a lot out of some players.
Mike Babcock can’t adapt much like Mike Keenan snd John Tortorella. We will see if Coach Q joins that pile. And before you say well Torts still has a gig, Philly hired him to weed the garden. They value his mind, not his ability to communicate to todays players long term.
These coaches are more communicators and babysitters today. The perfect amount of mollycoddling and the delegating to assistants is what’s required.
Guys like Pat Quinn, Barry Trotz and Ken Hitchcock adapted. A guy like Don Hay did not.
Babs is a narcissistic psychopath who has to sort of fake it at being a normal human being and his issues flow from there.
He likes to play psychological games with people and he's just a really weird dude by most accounts.

Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.
I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

I don’t think he is either Wids. He is however, guilty of being a fucking twit. As usual we know a fraction of the details. The guy can’t stay out of his own way. Seems like a bit of a sociopath. I got no skin in this game. He can beat it and we will bring back Gomer107 to use as a soccer ball.Hockey Widow wrote: ↑Sun Sep 17, 2023 7:35 pm I don’t get it. How is he a predator? Exactly Blob. He’s a socialpathic predator.
“Tyler Myers is my guy... I was taking to Scotty Bowman last night and he was bringing up his name, and saying he’s a big guy and big guy need big minutes to play, he is playing great for ya… and I agree with him… He’s been exceptional” - Bruce Boudreau

Whoever in the CBJ organization thought it was a good idea to hire the creepy fuck voyeur - Babcock should resign as well. Did they not due their due diligence on the guy? Who in their right mind thought he had changed? He is who he is, sn absolute sick fuck
