I don’t have a dog in this fight per se, the crew of the USS Love Boat is wearing me down but the about face on board the USS Love Boat regarding Captain Stubings honesty has given me grave concerns. The amount of times he was referred to as a liar or a dishonest captain while he was in charge of the USS Love Boat was staggering to see and disheartening to witness. The fact that his word is now being held up in defense of the truth is equal parts ironic, amusing, and long overdue. I don’t think Captain Stubing was a particularly great Captain, but the backlash he received particularly by his crew was tough to watch.

(note that I’m not saying, Lt. Hodgy is guilty of any of this per se - just an observation)

If you're trying to pigeonhole me into some role of being anti-Benning or something to discredit my opinion, I actually supported Benning and Co. for their first 3 seasons or so. My opinion changed on him as the situation unfolded, adapting to the evidence. I think it's hilarious that some people are so entrenched in their views that they refuse to ever change their stance despite seeing the red flags along the way. Simple minded people are too stubborn to ever reconsider their positions.
