Well…. The US already has a rule that says you need to be at least 35 years old to be eligible to become president. They should add a rule that says you cannot be older than 70 when assuming office. Otherwise they will probably keep having octogenerians in office.
A nightmare scenario could be that in 2024 Joe Biden, 82 yo, squares off against Donald Trump, 78 yo, again.
Both of them possibly being in a stage of early dementia that will only grow worse during the presidency.
And this at a time when both Russia and China are challenging the current rules based world order.
