Tennessee paper religious ad claims 'Islam' will detonate nuclear bomb in Nashville

A Tennessee newspaper said on Sunday it was investigating what its editor called a “horrific” full-page advertisement from a religious group that predicts a terrorist attack in Nashville next month.

It begins by claiming that a nuclear device will be detonated in Nashville and that the attack will be carried out by unspecific interests of “Islam”.

The group also ran a full-page ad in Wednesday’s editions of the newspaper stating its intention to warn Nashville residents about next month’s event “so that they may be able to make a decision intelligently”.

Just another tedious example of someone wanting to water down the message, sow confusion, division and anger. Rather than just say, "Yes, Black Lives Matter" - whoever wrote this just wanted to make the issue sound so confusing that people should just ignore it.

This issue is complex and has many layers and centuries of history behind it. Us white folk can't begin to comprehend the systems of endless racism, but we can try to learn more, be compassionate and let other voices be heard for a change.

Drivel like the post above do nothing to add to the discussion - and that's the point of it.

FBI: Noose found in Bubba Wallace's NASCAR garage was there since last year

"The FBI learned that garage number 4, where the noose was found, was assigned to Bubba Wallace last week. The investigation also revealed evidence, including authentic video confirmed by NASCAR, that the noose found in garage number 4 was in that garage as early as October 2019," the bureau said. "Although the noose is now known to have been in garage number 4 in 2019, nobody could have known Mr. Wallace would be assigned to garage number 4 last week."

Further details were not immediately released. The FBI said no charges would be pursued in relation to the incident.

“The FBI has completed its investigation at Talladega Superspeedway and determined that Bubba Wallace was not the target of a hate crime, NASCAR said in a release after the findings.
