The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

Take a tour of Blobbeez Houzz
WHOOOOA,,, I just fired up the treadmill and watched this on my 4k bigscreen
... while wearing nothing but my boxers and sunglasses and drinking a glass of scotch on the rocks.
TWAS FAR OUT MAN!!
It is pretty cool. All it lacks is a classic mall soundtrack
*dammit does that ever bring me right back to the classic shopping mall experiences of my youth. My toe just won't stop tapping! Kids today will never appreciate real mall muzak.
The great Bert Kaempfert was a staple of the aural shopping experience of the classic area. Versatile enough for shopping mall, elevator and dentist office alike, there was a Bert sound for every commercial setting it seemed.
Up tempo Bert set the perfect mood to launch Jack Nicholson's Winnebago motor home odyssey in the movie About Schmidt
So functional, yet so relaxing. There was Kaempfert for every occasion
Another great thing about this stuff is it's teenager repelling qualities. If you're like me and you don't really enjoy the company of young people this is just what the doctor ordered. Just a few minutes of The Brass Ring or The Baja Marimba Band at a volume a notch or so higher than you'd normally listen at for relaxation will clear any room of even the peskiest nuisance throng of teenagers. And adults will find it quite pleasant at the same time!

And secondly, isn't "recruiting you to my movement/agenda" just another way of saying we are having a debate? Isn't that what debating is, trying to convince (i.e. recruit) the other person to your view (i.e. movement / agenda)? So are you saying you don't want to debate this? I don't think so. I think you are someone governed by logic.
I think the real issue is that this is not just a debate, it's a debate about morality. Do black people deserve the right to not have to suffer racists/racism? And do we, individually, bear a responsibility to society to support black people in their fight for this right? I asked the first question in an earlier post, but you didn't answer. How about the second?
In a perfect world no one would ever have racism directed at them.
In this world, everyone has racism directed at them… at some point.
No-one is expecting a perfect world.
And sure, many people may have had racism directed at them at some point. I have, while working in an office of mainly Chinese. It's not fun. But I wouldn't even try to compare it with what black people experience.
I really don't understand why you can't answer the question of human rights. Or what your moral responsibility is towards supporting those rights, as a member of society. I guess a debate about morality is too personal for you.
There's millions of people protesting because they've had enough and still you refuse to believe there's anything real behind it. Unbelievable. You just want to continue burying your head in the sand and keep the status quo.
The intransigence of people like you is why BLM protests are needed, and why they aim to make people uncomfortable. BLM is not going to be go away or be suppressed. This is not China.

At the very moment you were posting this, I may have posted my answer to some of your questions here:
Yeah, so kindly shove it all the way up with a red-hot poker!
Your cooperation in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

You are make assumptions about my "intransigence" and about me "burying my head in the sand".
I have seen these pressure tactics more times than I can count.
Usually I see it from what I like to call "Fake Christians".
LAST TIME: 1) I reject religion... 2) your "anti-racist" leaders are racists... 3) their methods are repulsive and moronic.

Is it the lack of hockey? Reading too much news? No kittens to kick? C'mon Doc... you can tell us. We're here for you.
I've been trying to help morons become less moronic, which is leading me to drink too much, which is leading to hangovers.
