You obviously missed Petey throwing his weight around early in the game.
He could lead the team in hits, goal and points this season.

Nah, I saw Petey lay two guys out flat. It was great.

You miss the rough stuff at the end? The coach was trying to be the deterrent from behind the bench.

Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

Didn’t watch the game but only the highlights so take the following with that in mind.

BB was in great position and moving the puck on 4 goals he was given assists on, what more is everyone looking for from him? Fans see what fans just want to see, just like my hatred of Edler.

I assume the not liking BB is because he didn’t get 4 goals and fans think him only as a goal scorer?

It’s all about his skating. He looked below NHL average against Seattle. He looked fine against Edmonton. He has dropped some weight, so that should help this season. I don’t know if he felt better against Edmonton, or if Seattle’s speed makes his averageness stand out. No one’s complaining if he is getting points. Lots of slower players have done well. Luc Robitaille is famous for scoring a ton at half NHL speed. Foot speed will always be Brock’s criticism. He won’t ever drive a line, but if he is with others who can, like JT when he is on his game, he is a valuable line-mate. If he plays smart defensively and is close to a PPG player, his speed is really not a problem.

Boeser still hasn't found his shot. Without it he's a slow and soft average winger who has above average puck handling to go with seemingly unlimited opportunity to play with the most productive players on the team

He looks ok on the power play distributing pucks but the magic beans we're missing with him to close in on his price tag is the missing shot.

I doubt we ever see it again.

How long have you been watching Brock play? He doesn't forecheck, backcheck, bodycheck or play D. He doesn't drive play but has always gotten to play with the best players in the best situations. Last night, he got over 90% offensive zone starts. He gets paid but isn't elite in the one area he's supposed to be in. I'm not going to base his getting assists in preseason just as I'm not believing DiGiuseppe is suddenly a permanent top 6 winger because he got some points.

Boeser is a true top 6 but if we want to take next steps, you need much better than his soft, slow play. I hope he has a breakout year and gets the attention of other teams because even Canuck fans don't want to be paying him his next max dollar/term contract. Dump the glut of borderline wingers to pay Petey, continue to upgrade the D and find some actual scoring + toughness on wing.

I hardly noticed Brock last night and was surprised to see he actually got 4 assists. The perception for him is if he isn't scoring he isn't earning his contract. I suppose if he gets 3-4 assists per game then he will most certainly earn his contract.

I certainly dont want to be the team paying Brock more than he is earning now on a long term deal. Just liked I am glad we are not paying Bo 8.5 for 8 years. I think pump and dump is very much on the agenda, over the summer when he is on the final year of his deal. And when the cap hopefully goes up.

I hope he gets 70-80 points this year. I really do. I hope he becomes a staple on the PP and drives plays and feeds the likes of Pettersson, Kuzmenko and Miller.

His board play has gotten better over the years as as his D play but still not enough for me to want to see him get that big contract.

But yes, it was nice to see him get 4 assists. It is encouraging.
