Anybody but Calgary... unless it's the Leaves.

Say, what is the plan for staying under the cap next season after re-signing Tkachuk?

During the playoffs, my despise for the other canadian NHL teams goes away, I'll be rootin' for the Jets and Flames, tired of the American teams winning every year.
still hate the leaves
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

I cheered for Tampa in '04.
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

Well they have to sign Tkachuk, so they will have to make some moves. I trust Treliving has a plan.

Put away all the sharp tools, there may be some people using them after Friday.

Is Colorado's speed beating out Calgary?

My team hasn't won anything since 1989, so I'm getting used to them failing. I'll be pissed off for a day or so, then it's back to life as usual.

Full melt down on Cowpuke. They want everyone traded, I mean everyone.

Johnny a whiner, spends too much time complaining. No heart. Afraid to get hit.

Monahan too slow, not a gamer. Avoids contact.

Taychook too slow for the playoffs. Great in the regular season but disappears when the speed and intensity pick up.

Neal needs to be bought out.

Defence too slow.

team too slow.

Team has no grit, playing afraid.

Peters out coached.

I almost feel sorry for them.

No I don't.
The only HW the Canucks need

Exactly - I was amazed (not) on this.

And on CP they talk about all the bad things other fans do and their site is so good.

The thing that surprises me is that in the last two games they've allowed an average of 50 shots against per 60 minutes. If they keep that up, I don't see how they can win 3 straight.

They are done this season. I didn't expect a Stanley Cup, but I thought they would at least get through the first round. Oh well, at least I can go to my grave (not too soon I hope), knowing they at least won one cup in my lifetime.

I don't think they need to make any major changes, and they do have a few more years before they have some major contract hurdles. So, hopefully this is a learning experience for the young guys and they will improve over the next few years.

I agree with most of your items, except for the bolded comments. The team and the defense are not too slow - but they are playing against one of the fastest players in the game and he makes everyone look slow.
