I actually worked with the Architect on his home. In addition to my fee proposal, I asked for an autographed Jersey - he laughed and said sure. Anyway, I still have it - never wore it, and probably never will. It's the only signed jersey I own.

.
Many people think it was this franchise that became an NHL one, but it wasn't.
The Atlanta Flames, sister team to the New York Islanders, went belly-up and was relocated to Calgary.
Atlanta, has blown it twice, yet again is being looked at as a future expansion City.

That's pretty cool. But it's probably way too small for you to wear anyway

Sorry, I’m just taking quotes from Cowpuke, not making my own statements. I was mocking the board melt downBCExpat wrote: ↑Thu Apr 18, 2019 10:21 amI agree with most of your items, except for the bolded comments. The team and the defense are not too slow - but they are playing against one of the fastest players in the game and he makes everyone look slow.Hockey Widow wrote: ↑Thu Apr 18, 2019 12:09 am Full melt down on Cowpuke. They want everyone traded, I mean everyone.
Johnny a whiner, spends too much time complaining. No heart. Afraid to get hit.
Monahan too slow, not a gamer. Avoids contact.
Taychook too slow for the playoffs. Great in the regular season but disappears when the speed and intensity pick up.
Neal needs to be bought out.
Defence too slow.
team too slow.
Team has no grit, playing afraid.
Peters out coached.
I almost feel sorry for them.
No I don't.

For a second, I thought Micky was going to point to himself in the old-timey team photo! I'm betting middle row, second from the right.micky107 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 18, 2019 10:57 am

I think I heard somewhere that the Flamers did an open practice at the old Corral this past season. That's kinda cool, I imagine it would be a bit like getting to see the Canucks at the old Colosseum again. Or probably more accurately, it would be like seeing the Canucks at the PNE Forum...now that I think about it, who would want to go to that?

Just read the first page of a couple threads over there.....basically they want to trade most of their best players from the regular season and fire the coach. Let Smith go and bring in a different vet to play with Rittich. Oh and Gaudreau, despite being a total softie and lazy as shit should stick around and they should find a franchise 1C for him to play with.
