They rushed him and traded Barrie, due to cap. They wanted to upgrade on D and did so but the consequence was they had to make cap room and banked on Bouchard being ready. I think he will be a good D but too soon under the pressure. Holland was asked about the Barrie trade and if he was worried Bouchard would be rushed. He said something about they had no choice and Bouchard would have to srptep up. He also said he thought he was ready.
Could be an example of a promising young D getting ruined for being rushed or he could turn it around…..in a year or 2. But the Oilers need those ELC guys to step up.
Rather than burn Bouchard they should be talking about their stars needing to be their best players….and find a goalie.

Watched the 3rd....the hope in the eyes of the Oil as it reached 5-3 closely followed by despair and sorrow when Burns lofted a seeing eye backhand empty netter down 2 men in the last 2 minutes...well, I must say it was almost as good as huffing heaters at Wids place...
