There was the Jays/Brewers and a decade later the Mariners came up and played too. I remember Griffey and Buhner complaining about the stadium. Yeah I went to the Jays there as a kid and it was terrible. Great foresight on that stadium. It was similar to the Metrodome and Kingdome and those dumps were already outdated when they built BC Place. They should have never put a dime into it and just demolished it.Topper wrote: ↑Thu Dec 06, 2018 7:00 pmRemember when the marshmallow in bondage was built and the ability to accommodate baseball was a selling feature. I don't think I was living in Canada for the Mariner games.Blob Mckenzie wrote: ↑Thu Dec 06, 2018 7:05 pm There was the Jays/Brewers and a decade later the Mariners came up and played too. Canadians were the Brewers AAA affiliate in those days. There was some great ball played at Nat Bailey but the place killed power stats and inflated pitching stats. Heard that some of the prospects weren't too happy with the diamond at Little Mtn and what it did to their numbers. Was a great place to watch ball though.

Blob's probably the guy you see running naked on the Lion's turf in between plays, being chased by the zebras... only to get taken down by a clothesline from a 5'7", 165lb cornerback.

It’s still a good time to watch a game at the Nat. Yeah the caliber isn’t quite like it was when they had AAA here but there are some decent kids and it’s a nice minor league park. I think they sold out every game this year. The owners are really doing a good job.Topper wrote: ↑Thu Dec 06, 2018 8:14 pmI don't think I was living in Canada for the Mariner games.Blob Mckenzie wrote: ↑Thu Dec 06, 2018 7:05 pm There was the Jays/Brewers and a decade later the Mariners came up and played too. Watched Jim Abbot on a conditioning stint in 96. Some asshole bunted on him and he threw the guy out on a nice play. Next batter Abbot damn near parked it in his ear.

Ryan Beech on 650am this morning;
Quinn Hughes can play up to 11 games this year without threat of expansion draft. Seemed very sure!
So for crying out loud: Get this kid signed this year !!

If that’s true then he’ll ya I’m all in. Rest assured Benning will have an answer in time to make a decision.

Just read up on it and it look like you're right UDL. Players need to be signed up on trade deadline day to be eligible for the playoffs.Uncle dans leg wrote: ↑Fri Dec 14, 2018 8:01 amCan they sign like that and play in the playoffs? Re: Seattle Expansion/Canucks players
I would still sign him, doubt we will make the playoffs anyway but if we do, well, oh well. Could we send him to Utica and play in their playoff run then?5thhorseman wrote: ↑Fri Dec 14, 2018 8:17 amJust read up on it and it look like you're right UDL.
