I can't wait to see Bieksa smugly smiling at the camera and the panel tonight, giving them and the other media ghouls a big FU for implying his homerism for the Canucks. I don’t think he’s outgrown it, I think he’s just playing on teams where the rest of the lineup also is willing to pay the price as well as play a system that keeps grade A chances down and limits shooters to quick perimeter shots. While he was here in Vancouver he was usually getting abused by one-timers and clean looks where the shooter had a prolonged setup time and Tanev was the only guy reading the play and trying to get in the lane that, had a forward been in would have negated (or at least downgraded the quality of) the shot.
