I wonder how the fuck a doofus like Elliot Friedman became one of the main NHL insiders. How unlikely is that?

We're getting there..... Good news, now we just need to figure out what will happen with the Canadian teams.

Maybe the Canucks should settle in Seattle and hype the game there? Grab some fans while they're at it? :D

Playoffs will be top four in each division -- each division produces a champion for the Stanley Cup Semifinal

I called it, fairly obvious, but I called it.

So 4 of the 7 teams in the Canadian division make the playoffs.

And whoever wins the Canadian division in the post-season... is in the Final Four.

Of course this all has to be voted on by the NHLPA and the owners this weekend.

Fuck there are going to be some epic battles. 8 games against the albortions and 7 against the gorfs and the laughs followed by 2 playoff rounds. I hate them even more already

They’ll play each team even more than that in the seven team division. They’ll have to play each of the other six teams nine times and two of those teams ten times to make the 56 game season. (9 x 6) + 2 = 56

In this one season we’ll be able to play the other teams in Canada just enough to develop a hatred towards each of them that should last us for the rest of our lives.

TV ratings in Canada will be through the roof. I love this opportunity. Even if it means only a handful of games will be in our time zone. Cant wait see the schedule.

As if we needed more. Kill, crush, destroy full on. Yikes! Get more points than every other team in Canada to get a good placement in the playoffs so you can try and beat at least two of them again. One in round one and another in round two or you play no American based teams at all for 20/21.

Was thinking ten games against Calgary, then playing them in a seven game series in the first round. Then meeting Edmonton for a seven game series in the second round after having played them ten games during the season. So there is a possibility of playing thirty-four games against the Alberta teams in about a six month span.
:wow:

It will either get boring and a little repetitive, or turn into a bloodbath. :D
